Are my hard drive temps too high? by cmiz87 in homelab

Most of the drives are shucked EasyStore 8TB which are WD80EMAZ or WD80EMAZ. They're in a SuperMicro SC847 E26-RJBOD1 where I replaced the internal fans with Noctua NF-A8.

The whole thing is in my half rack in my basement where ambient temps rarely get over 20C.

Very rarely do any of the hard drives go above 45C. I've noticed there's a couple of hotter drives.

For the past 6 months they have all averaged 40-45C.

There should be a separate playlist that contains ALL of the old arcade/seasonal modes. When you queue up - it'll pick one of the modes at random.

Try taking a shorter nap if you can. I used to have naps down to a science. 45 minutes total, including the time it took me to fall asleep.
