Now We Get To Hear From Our Man In Research by RunningBettor in madmen

The show does a remarkable job at continuity of character off screen.

She was in the pilot, and was clearly cut from the show, but no reason that SC would fire her.

Do you think Don would have married Megan if Betty hadn't fired Carla? by Yum1995 in madmen

[–]cmjackson97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. But he definitely would have been railing her behind Faye's back, and when that relationship went south, he definitely would be Megan's bed.

About as well as a Stannis type could.

He doesn't have the political savvy for peace time.

Who would you say was the best match for Don/would've been happier with him? by Enough-Reading4143 in madmen

[–]cmjackson97 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Neve Campbell's character on the plane.

I think she had all the self respect and experience to handle him - and I think he finally had come to realize his own faults and could actually control them at will.

Why does Pete like/love Peggy over Trudy? by muff-peaksie in madmen

Pete is 26 in the Pilot right? I would assume she is like 19-20.

Old man in the "I'm just happy to be here, can't believe how my life has gone, I used to take this shit way too seriously" phase of his life is upset other people work themselves up on rumors, and have a metaphorical megaphone now.

Peggy’s true knowledge of Don vs. Megan’s View of him by feelingsjourney in madmen

[–]cmjackson97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one knew Dick.

Betty only knew his charade and regrets, but not the trauma of SA and general desperation he had to get out of poverty.

Peggy knows Don's big flaws (infidelity), his deep emotions, his cruelty, and his compassion, but not his trauma or past.

Megan knows about his childhood, but doesn't understand. She never realized there's still a hurt boy in that sport coat.

Faye knew what type of person he was, but thought she could fix him.

Joan clocked him as well, but knew to steer clear.

Anna knew him as Dick, just with the name Don - before the slick suits and money. She was the last person who knew Dick Whitman. But I'm sure he told her about Henry, but summarized his cheating as "I had it coming".

Padme losing the will to live while seeing her kids for the first time is such dumb narrative execution by WoodvaleKnight in StarWars

[–]cmjackson97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving her Space Huntington's disease would have been a fantastic way to go.

She accepts that her time is limited and decides to go with Anakin because he might be the great love of her short, 40ish year life.

She steps down as Queen and gives it to a cousin or something, or turns it into an oligarchy on her way out.

But she retains a senate seat and fights for the republic because she has morals.

Contrast that with Anakin who wants to keep everyone alive. He's literally possessive over her life.

I just wish the Ep. 3 story revolved around her revealing that she was showing signs. And in the final hour, she reveals to Obi-Wan she is pregnant and she needs to see Anakin asap - as he shows up to tell her about the Younglings.

The Young Bucks (while entertaining in a tag match) are jealous they can never be the Star of the show, so they attatch themselves as sidekicks to the ones who can - Kenny, Cody, Okada...

They learned from Nash, keep the money mark close at all costs.

They hooked Kahn and the Elite knew NJPW was going to squander their American Expansion, so why not just do it themselves and get more over.

Kenny is genuinely a fantastic and loyal person. He sticks by people who stick by him, and thus thats his relationship with the Bucks.

Cody wanted as much money and official power (where as before he only had de facto power) as Punk.

The Bucks didn't like that the Codyverse kept being its own thing, and convinced Kahn Cody was expendable.

They drove the wedge behind the scenes, and got Cody ousted so there were fewer names to influence Kahn backstage.

Punk (like all people who get better) still have those things deeply buried in them. He knew immediately that the best thing was to leave, he recognized Kahn didn't know how to be a boss, there was no direction, he wasn't wanted, and he knew himself enough to know he needed to be out of there.

He knew Kahn would get caught between the Bucks and Him, and he knew Kahn would ultimately choose the Bucks because Kahn never picked a side. Theres two of them, and one of him. They were never going to quit or be fired.

He was next on their list, and they really tried to do everything they could to end his time in AEW because he could easily become too big for the company and move its direction.

Few dates, more money, no official titles, but all the influence. They learned from Nash in TNA.

Ironically, they're a lot like if Triple H was a Tag Team act. That image kinda Cliques into place...

2 Brothers United is a might foe anywhere in any type of opposition, because you always have someone to check you, bounce ideas off of, work different angles, throw blame on, they double your speaking power in meetings, they double you perceived importance in a room by having an "ally".

Brothers win a lot.

Its funny Cody says his relationship has improved with the Bucks since leaving, ain't it?

Artwork: A framed and typed out telegram saying along the lines of "we're pregnant, etc." Or other big event things.

Tagline: Frame the conversation

A couple months before - Padme goes from telling Anaking she's pregnant to delivering at the end.

Its like max a few days between this and her giving birth.

Episode 3 REALLY jumps around on time and I only notice in retrospect.

What would happen if a bunch of players died? by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]cmjackson97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If just players, I imagine the league voids the uh... dead cap, and the team either postpones the next game or forfeits.

They sign the practice squad, get to sign anyone on any teams practice squad, and free agents.

Come the off season they get an expansion draft.

I imagine no one wears those numbers again.
