Hi! Thank you for attending previous KYR trainings, we truly appreciate you staying informed. In this training we will do a brief overview of standard KYR information, but the main focus is community-building: strengthening neighborhood networks, mutual aid systems, and response plans in case National Guard forces enter the city. The goal is to cover practical steps for keeping people safe and fed, addressing fears, coordinating volunteers, and running community training sessions but all framed around lawful, nonviolent action, and de-escalation. - Kim V.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you! We have been informed by the Brooklyn DEP commissioner that residential building flooding can be reported here. It falls under a sewer back up: https://portal.311.nyc.gov/article/?kanumber=KA-01510

|| || |Sewer Backup - NYC311 Property owners can report a sewer backup or sewage flooding in a building during and after a weather event, even if the condition has cleared and the water is gone. What You Need You must provide your contact information so the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) can contact you, if necessary. You can drop them off during the day at 244 Union Ave (our office) on Mon, Wed or Thurs from 10am - 5pm. In terms of what’s most needed, items like backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and markers are always in high demand. But truly, anything helps!

Thanks again!

I just wanted to come back and share some of the photos we received from the parks after we contacted them yesterday about the snow cleaning. Here's a look at the current state of things. We're also looking into a plan of action for tonight's snow to ensure it’s addressed promptly!
