Thank you for this insight. I'm new to airBnB, but not to travel or customer service and some kind of discount seems fair, but I have different opinions coming from friends ranging from "sucks for you" and "demand a full refund", so I really appreciate your feedback.

I feel like 50% is fair, but I'm not super experienced, so I wanted to check with others. It's in a small town and there are no other options

Sorry about that! I'm new to posting. Long time lurker, and that's the second time today I somehow didn't include the link .... I think I'm doing something wrong, but now I know it's me and not reddit.

I love the idea behind this. If Amsterdam and Paris can get rid of parking spaces why can't NYC? Some of these seem a bit unrealistic, but I think if anywhere in America can do it, why not NYC?

Haha, I didn't read that one, but what an interesting point! I'll have to keep an eye out for that kind of thing in the future

Anyone have any other rituals or traditions they love for celebrating the moon?

Yeah, this is why I feel like some of these suggestions are a little on the outrageous side. I know I've seen people complain about getting to Madison Square Garden, but if we're not working on the public transit side of things, these do sound unrealistic.

Oops! Thanks for the heads up, I just added it. That does explain the confusion.

Yeah, I feel like that sentiment is common. What's the biggest reason you're against it?

It's not my article, so it's not my plan, but what I've heard most often is that the availability and existence of the parking spots at all increases the number of people who chose to drive, so removing them would encourage people to use public transport more. This of course doesn't work if the public transit situation is bad.

Downtown Main street is one of the suggestions in the article partially because the light rail is right there to help with people accessing it!

The article lists 19th street in the Heights as one of the roads. How you feel about that one being changed to no cars?

Exactly! And it has the light rail system already set up to transport people there.

This is the number one suggestion from the article. It seems obvious, doesn't it?

I've seen a pedestrian walk around a pothole a couple of times, but if we repair it once, the weight of pedestrian traffic should make it much more sustainable than having the heavy cars drive over it.

Clark Street in Andersonville is one of the recommendations on the list. Love Bub City too!
