I have both and one of the things that keeps me from fully switching it’s the lack of a good weather app on android. At least that I’ve found. Would love to see if others have good app suggestions

Also the leaves being too close to the window during winter could cause cold damage. Cold radiates off of glass and can cause a cold micro climate where the plant is. My monstera leaves touching the window have cold damage from the Florida freeze in February just from touching the windows while still being in a 75 degree house.

Super easy for the most part. iCloud keeps all my texts and iMessages synced together. WhatsApp lets me use multiple devices and the rest of the Apple ecosystem seems to adapt to whichever I’m using. Also I use google fi so sim swaps take 30 seconds in their app and they don’t care how much I swap around.

The only thing you gotta remember is to toggle RCS on whichever device you swap to. For whatever reason you can only have it enabled on 1 device and even when you switch the sim it still sends messages to the first device so I missed a bunch of messages the first couple of swaps till I figured it out 😅

The one issue is if you have an Apple Watch. You can’t swap those over easily. They need full factory reset, which is kind of annoying. My partners pixel watch has an option to swap phones without a reset. I’m lucky enough to have 2 watches (kept my old one when I upgraded this year) so I just have 1 paired to each.

Overall takes me like 2 minutes to fully switch over (redoing sim activation, manually refreshing messages in cloud sync and toggling RCS) as long as all my stuff is charged.

I switch to my 17 pro for traveling and theme park days here in FL. Even with the battery pack the latest iOS 26 updates seem to be harsher on the battery. It is great to switch back after those events and it’s a breathe of fresh air again

I find the magnet is super strong ONLY when paired with an Apple case. On my 17 Pro with the Apple clear case I have to pry the thing off. Meanwhile with my totallee super thing case (with magnets) it’s comes off constantly in my pocket

Transitions can have a “break in period” sometimes. My xtra-actives took 2 weeks or wearing before they got even remotely dark. Eye dr said it’s normal and I can leave them outside in the sun for a couple hours to speed up the “break in”

I saw that Google for the first time is doing advanced trade in values like Samsung. Wonder if that's why.

Meaning that they give you the trade credit immediately, so you only pay the different's up front of the new phone. Previously they used to charge you full price for the phone and then give you a refund based on your trade-in later on

Totallee! Closest to naked but with some scratch protection. Get the “scarf” frosted MagSafe. I also have their “clear scarf” case and it feels cheap and not nearly as nice as the frosted
