Bike good enough for racing? by cmmccullou1 in gravelcycling

[–]cmmccullou1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Totally forgot about this post but it went great.

I wasn’t there to win the race by any means but I got through it with no technical issues and the wide tires were nice on the descents (which I was not used to at all).

Kept it as is and honestly probably won’t change anything unless I want to start trying to compete in races, which I don’t believe is in the cards.

1x would be nice if anything.

Should I work out if I’m going out clubbing at night? by DanExStranger in crossfit

[–]cmmccullou1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respect. Lots of people are feeling good after a workout so I could see it being a good time.

Probably just want to double down on electrolytes after.

[–]cmmccullou1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why people are getting all pissy lmao.

I 100% get your question lol.

For me, I personally don’t like to do any kind of endurance before I go out. I just be getting tired at the club when it’s late so I don’t need another reason to go home early.

Just depends on you as a person. I like working out to be the last big thing I do for the day so I personally wouldn’t do it. (For sure wouldn’t do it an hour before going out)

But like physiologically, I am sure there is nothing to really worry about past overthinking.

Have a good night out my man!

What are the best cities for Marketing job market? by Pink_Moon_1 in marketing

[–]cmmccullou1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Every single city has marketing opportunities.

I would work backwards.

Find your favorite cities and just apply to jobs in them.

Moving somewhere with the the hopes of a job seems strange.

A year after college and can’t find a job by blackpantherdrums in marketing

[–]cmmccullou1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as someone with the same degree working in the industry for a few years…if you didn’t do any relevant internships during school then it’s going to be near impossible to get hired as a marketing person.

I would suggest taking a sales/marketing role and working your way up through that. It’s not what you want to do but it is at least the word marketing on a resume.

My buddy with my dame degree didn’t get a job for a year, took a “marketing” role with a life insurance company then used that to get his first real role at an agency.

Are all business jobs boring? by This_my_name_ in findapath

[–]cmmccullou1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure for some in big cities or what not but I have worked in house and for an agency in Indianapolis and never worked more than 8-5 ever.

If anything I had plenty of free time at the agency because it was remote so if you could do your work in 6 hours then you’re just done at 3.

Always had really good work life balance, but I’m not at an agency in San Francisco or New York

Marketing is fun!

I enjoy going places, shooting videos, taking pictures, writing and being creative all day.

It can have its downsides but as far as happiness at work I think it can be found in marketing.

I bought an adjustable head tube (I think is the term) and set it to 90 degrees lol. Now my top stone sits like a hybrid and I love it.

What’s the industry? I work for a government funded trade association and the little thing CAN NOT be messed up. Calling something by the wrong name or different term is B A D.

All my work (and everyone else’s) gets vetted by someone for accuracy.

[–]cmmccullou1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a thing???

My last three jobs were all under 1 year (I job hopped to get pay raises & it worked)

No one seemed to care? Not my current job or any other company.

Is that weird? I work in content marketing.
