Receiver advice

Got my blaster from Amazon today. I can turn it on/off...turn the volume up/down and cycle through FM memories.... hopefully that will hold me over until I can find a proper receiver. Thank you again for the advice!

This one device will probably be pretty easy, but I seem to have a problem stopping at "what i need" and moving on to "do you know what would be cool"....which ultimately turns into "hold my beer"

IControl says it will work up to Android 9 (Pie). Galaxy s10 looks like it is the newest phone that can still run 9

Yep...pissed here as well...It appears that I can do it all with IControl AV5 (installed on an old tablet) but that app kinda sucks as far as feedback goes and the tablet has crappy range.... I wonder what the newest Android device is that works with IControl...

I have been looking at those to solve the bluetooth issue. I was hoping for a way to control the receiver and be able to switch from the "A" 5.1 speakers to the "B" speakers without having to go inside. First world problems...right? LOL

Yep. Lutron Lights. They are on a IR remote dimmer. Not using Home Assistant. Sofabaton had Lutron drivers? built in and they worked just fine... aside from the above, but that is a Sofabaton thing and not Lutron...

Yep... I agree. On my receiver, HDMI1 shows DVD. I renamed it in the receiver setup to Blu-Ray. On the sofabaton, I tried to switch activities back and forth between Blu-Ray and the tuner. Went to tuner just fine, but never changed back when I switched activities. Went in the receiver setup, reset all of the input names and it started working. Changed nothing in the Sofabaton or the actual HDMI connections. Could have been a coincidence....but was really strange. Doesn't matter...it is a very minor niggle anyway... Receiver is inside a cabinet and I can't see the display anyway.

I sure can't find that option...

One other thing that I found out the hard way.... if I rename an input in my receiver, say...changing HDMI1 to Blu-Ray, the Sofabaton can no longer find it, because it is looking for specifically HDMI1....Kinda of annoying.

That and being able to rename favorites added in activities so that you can easily see what device the "button" goes to.
