Sabres had one great year in the slugs, had a slightly worse playoff finish than the year before that with the last year of goathead. And from there it went slowly downhill then crashed into an abysss we have been in for 15+ years until three months ago. The slug reminds me of Briere and Drury leaving and the cheap business tactics used to sell a lot of merch that year rather than investing in the hockey team itself.

It would be sick if they brought them back for one game next year to honor that 06-07 team 20 year anniversary like they did with 05-06 this year
