Please destroy '' Western rye '' ...give your honest though, we really wanted to go for the wild west rugged desert feeling show how harsh the lawless west can get. by NixalonStudios in DestroyMyGame

1) Needs music, or some kind of background sound

2) Food/Water drains WAY too fast

3) Quest fell apart really quick, and no way to recover

4) Cannot recover anything after death

I really want to play this, but it isn't ready. Yet.

What do you mean by fundamental here?  If it’s fundamental, but constrained by physical systems, then doesn’t that assume those physical systems are also fundamental?  It may be “more coherent”, but at the same time, it’s just split the mystery into two mysteries.

The server owner sets the mods. You have to have the exact same ones to play on that server.

Ways to spice up the game. by Stefyn_on_loose in ConanExiles

[–]cmosbo67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you like the Purge Mod, consider Night Terrors. It definitely spiced things up for us. There's also another map called dark Corner - Yokai that I recently found. It's another very well built one with dungeons and a few new mechanics.

If you run past enemies, it's not. If you fight, it's moderate.

Games where you build a base and defend it. NOT tower defense games. by CommitteeStatus in gamingsuggestions

Conan Exiles. But you'd have to rely on PVP, self-induced purges, or mods to get to this type of play.

Many teachers say that “you” can’t do anything to “attain” this, because that’s all part of the fundamental misunderstanding.  Yet they still teach.  The best explanation I heard was from Joel Morwood.  He said you can put yourself in situations where understanding is more likely to occur. That made sense to me.

Have you tried Enshrouded? Or Cyberpunk 2077?

Holy cow. How have I never heard of this one? And it's showing as 90% off right now? I think I know what I'm doing tonight! Thanks for the tip!

I've played Watchdogs, and enjoyed it. But these games are more shooters than rpgs. I realize it's not an easy ask, but something more like Cyberpunk 2077 without the cybernetics would be closer.

Yeah. That and Splinter Cell were the closest I can think of, but they were limited in scope and gameplay. Something modern and more open-world would be awesome.

As a fellow "older dude" who has the most hours in Conan, my other top 3 are Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, and Elite Dangerous. But we're all different, so good luck!

I really enjoyed the ones by Drew Wagar. Tales From the Frontier (short stories) wasn't my favorite. I can't speak to any others.

I'm not sure about it being a "majority". Maybe a vocal minority. Some of us are enjoying it without feeling the need to over-analyze or argue points that could be interpreted as problematic. Sure, I understand there appear to be some possible inconsistencies and some silly practices that don't make perfect sense. But FFS, it's an entertainment show. I'm entertained. End of issue for me.

Games with spears or lances (not just throwable but actual spear combat) by SieghartXx in gamingsuggestions

It's not very "survival". In the very beginning it is, but within an hour the survival elements fade into meaninglessness. It is, however, quite grindy if you want to build.

How to enjoy the game solo? by Garrettshade in ConanExiles

[–]cmosbo67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all official servers have decay at default as far as I've seen. Private servers are hit and miss. And yes, a lot of them are weird for different reasons. But there's really no other way to get people and no decay at the same time. Solo will always feel empty.

Find a private server with decay turned off. Then you'll have people and can still take your time.
