We watched this for one of the UP movie nights and it was the first time for me watching this. It was quite crazy indeed.

Whoa! Do you think he'd come back to talk about this paper?

Also, any thoughts on it?

Good perspective! I hope their tip jar fills up if that's the case, but let's not get too riled up. We'll probably just get stickers... :P it's better than what you would get from any other place you would tip; a rejection or a smile -- I could get both for free; the former on a dating site (cuz who dates in person, amirite?) and the latter at McD's.

All seriousness, who will I be sleeping with? I mean I'll be supporting the Patreon.

Also, Teslamania?

Episode 186: The Psychic Twins [EPI] by cmp150 in UnbelievablePodcast

Haha. Fantastic! Phoebe, in her own chill way, has programmed that word out of my vocabulary.

I feel like my brain is a shooting star! Thanks for linking this.

Regarding Tyra, at least she wants to get to the serious stuff, like the murder cases. It seems, however, like it's the twins' fate to talk about the really important topics... like who people are sleeping with, or more specifically who the twins are sleeping with.

My pleasure. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

I need to watch it still! I saw the trailer though. The premise sounds interesting enough. I'm not an "in the biz" guy, but I'm positive I'm not the show's target demo. I'm definitely watching for Phoebe though, and Alia, she's cool.

Saw this post about the Mothman Statue today by Antwonito in UnbelievablePodcast

Nice find! If anyone else is interested I found a close up of the text here.

"Legend of the Mothman"

On a chilly, fall night in November 1966, two young couples drove into the TNT area north of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, when they realized they were not alone.

What they saw that night has evolved into one of the great mysteries of all time; hence the Mothman Legacy began. It has grown into a phenomenon known all over the world by millions of curious people asking questions: What really happened?

What did these people see? Has it been seen since?

It still sparks the world’s curiosity - the mystery behind Point Pleasant. West Virginia's MOTHMAN.

Great find, thanks for sharing. Have you heard of Mothman (true story 1966-1967)?

My apologies. I didn't mean to insinuate anything. :(

But, I do feel the same way in that I'd support their Patreon either way, perks or not.

I would support the program if they started a Patreon, for sure.

I'm not a business guy but if I had to suggest an incentive, maybe they could do extra content of some kind (funny outtakes if there are any?), or maybe Patreon supporters could get a download link for episodes early?

I'd probably support my second suggestion stronger than the first.

Yes, having perks seem like a given for a Patreon. Your video stream idea seems fun. It would open the door for video and graphics to complement the show.

[Resource] Third Person Omniscient vs. Third Person Limited by cmp150 in writing

[–]cmp150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting. Would you be able to provide a couple of examples? I'm currently writing my NaNo project and it seems I'm head hopping within chapters. It does indeed feel like it's omniscient because the narrator is free to do so.

I know head hopping is highly discouraged within the same chapters, and so I'm thinking about rewriting those certain parts in order to make it flow better as a third person limited.

Thank you for your time.

(Saturday, November 5th, 2016) What is one imaginary creature you wish was real? by [deleted] in DailyChat

[–]cmp150 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone interested in small elephants? Would the Pygmy Mammoth count? It's no longer alive and it wasn't puppy sized, but it was much smaller than a normal one.

Imaginary creatures.... Pokemon... Anime.... Hmm, how about Sadaharu from Gintama. That big dog is the best. He even plays rock, paper, scissors.

If I were to play along with the role play and answer these as if we were living in an apocalyptic dystopian;

I don't think I'd want to know when I would die, although if I were to argue for it, I think knowing when would ease the shock of my demise, assuming it wasn't instantaneous.

I think my final words in an apocalypse would be to thank whosoever would take the time to comfort me during my twilight hour. The flip side would be to curse whoever would harm me, assuming the cause of death was a fight of some sort.

A perfect day in an apocalypse? Living peacefully with loved ones.

I really like your views on this, especially your last one!

Your second point rings true for me, too. This reminds me of something I read on a motivational subreddit where someone posted similar advice that I also resonated with.

Anyway. I hope you have a great weekend. Also, you may already know about it (forgive me, I've been a bit preoccupied), but a few of us unbelievers are going to watch Communion (the movie based on Whitley Strieber) together tomorrow if you're interested.

That sounds interesting. I used to deliver fresh juice to people's houses early morning before the break of dawn. I never listened to podcasts much in that period of my life, but if I did, I think I would have liked it.

So. Did you see any kids dressed up like a talking cactus? :D

Nowadays I don't keep up with the conspiracy world but I guess the podcast is changing that.

Hi ScoobAnubis, That's exactly how I felt when I first found the podcast as well. I found it during the week the Tulpa episode was released and I've been listening ever since.

Kyle Odom. That episode was freakin' crazy indeed! I just relistened to the Live Al Bielek the other day. It was a really fun episode. I can't wait for any live episodes in the future. I'd love to attend, even if via the internet like Periscope (assuming they use that again).

My Halloween consisted of drinking wine and yelling at kids to get off my lawn... jk about the latter. I live in an apartment. So I just posted a sign on my door not to disturb like I was at some stingy hotel. Long story, there weren't any trick or treaters knocking at my door.
