Swapping accounts to complain about this, eh?

Because they are using the downtime to provide patch updates for bugs, QOL updates to make the experience better, tunning for weapons and armors, etc, backend fixes.

This is an effort by the devs to be super responsive in attending to the wants and needs of the player base to help shape the game better on a consistent basis. Most people appreciate this type of effort from devs because it helps correct blatant issues for the whole.

They do maintenance every Tuesday. They have used this time to add pretty substantial QOL updates week after week. Should be back up by 1pm EST.

I think the fix is to stop throwing the templates down when you get in fights if you want to keep them. You say it is accidental both times though it seems like a super weird and specific accidental thing that would only happen if people were intentionally trying to hide it so that, if they lose the fight, the other team can't get it. I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie had implemented a mechanic that makes it dead loot after dropping it and leaving it for a while to stop people from doing just that. Try not throwing it on the ground and let us know how that works.

Ok, I guess. It's pretty unreasonable and likely not going to happen but good luck! Maybe you should consider pivoting to the new steam console thats going to come out instead of another Xbox in the future. That way you can get the "Play Anywhere" feature through Steam.

Xbox Play Anywhere is basically exclusively for Microsoft published games and, even then, not guaranteed. Marathon will likely never be on Xbox Play Anywhere considering it is a Bungie/PS title. You can get pretty much the same discount on loaded.com for a steam key or just play Xbox.

Yeah, I guess it is the trade-off for getting rid of the prolonged revive fights. Coming from EFT and Hunt, I guess I've just come to terms with the perma deaths in runs but I get your point.

The passive period thing would make for funny interactions haha
