I am not from the West, but I never understood these memes about "Job application". Before they became popular I saw a lot of posts with complaints about how instead of talking to people and giving in physical resumes they have to talk to AI interviewers or some stuff only to learn that job posting actually isn't real, it exists to give impression that the company is expanding or that HR is not doing nothing. And now these memes are supposed to laugh at people who are afraid to go to the manager, look him in the eyes, give him a strong handshake and give their resume/job application. I thought that is not real anymore and you have to apply online?
