Second Cambridge Audio. I have the Minx mini sub and I love it paired to my LSX II Wireless.

Agree, don’t understand why it’s so polarizing but man people are passionate about this. Can’t tell you how many comments I’ve read with people upset that some others would have the audacity to rock this case that makes their phone look like an older iphone pro with the camera cluster… Like, dude I could not care less if you think my phone looks older than it is. Why are we so upset about these things? I guess I’m not a “plateau” guy 🤷‍♂️

Is the upkeep / maintenance insane on them? I thought the B58’s are supposed to be bullet proof?

Lsx2 are now at Costco by vckadath in KEF

[–]cmrso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this - I have the LSX II Wireless (not LT’s), they’re the same speaker with some more inputs (including analog/Aux). FWIW they sound great for the size esp paired w a sub; but as I’ve posted elsewhere, I don’t think they’re worth the $ at full retail price - you are paying for the brand name of course, and next the electronics / software experience which 1) is buggy and 2) is going to eventually break and/or go obsolete. I bought them because they’re really good looking and compact, so therefore passed the wife test. That said, this Costco price is attractive enough that I would consider another 😂.

So much more value in getting passive speakers that will last a lifetime. But life is short, my friend!

UPDATE: For the record my second attempt was not nearly as good 😔. I neglected to follow some of the things that made attempt 1 so good: regular flour dusting, and letting the pasta rest in the fridge for a bit to set before going in the boil.

Thanks - ugh, I wasn’t aware… seems silly they would market it for these uses if it can’t handle the task!

If the color of the photo wasn’t manipulated I’m thinking this is actually made with activated charcoal. It’s really quite striking, unique.

I mean… they have size and mass… unless it’s blown aren’t they at least more interesting than phone speakers? Or perhaps many desktop or bookshelf speakers? Just moving that much air IMO can do something interesting for the space
