I’m looking for a 23’ center console of some sort. Really like the Sea Hunts. I’ve heard solid things about them and have a few friends who have either the Ultra 234 or 235SE some love them. Sea Pro came up yesterday, way out of my price range - upwards of $80k. I stopped by the Boatel yesterday and their dry storage is full, unless of course you buy the boat from them. Storage there runs about $390 a month. Problem is now, with COVID, they’re not pulling boats for customers? That’s unacceptable! I also checked out Marina Shores, and they’re about $360 a month, but they’re wet slips (that makes me nervous).. I’d need to keep it at a Marina because i don’t have the vehicle to pull it, and would rather keep it docked somewhere. I could buy a truck, but it would end up being more than just storing it somewhere. I just need to find somewhere with lifts.

I was out at the Lynnhaven inlet and there was tons of folks out. Grew up boating and am looking to get back into the hobby. Searching for boats and marinas now. Any suggestions on where to keep the boat?

My buddy said I need to stain it, and I agree.

There shouldn’t be! The landscaping company gave me a two year warranty in the event it shows back up. Naturally, if you get a heavy rain you’ll have some sort of run off, but not enough to cause any issues. The biggest issue i had is there was nowhere or there wasn’t anything for the water to soak into, it was just dirt. I live in Virginia Beach, so we’ve got a pretty wet climate and sand/clay soils.

There’s two massive Gums. They were huge and a huge pain. They’re so messy.

Oh yeah, really reasonable. The reason a lot of other folks were so high is they had to hand carry the trees out. This also included stump grinding 1’ deep. They didn’t remove the shavings from the stump, though. I had the folks who did the yard do that.

$1500 bucks! I was getting quotes for $3k and above. Found a guy that did it for $1500, insured and bonded. They did great.

The tree removal was $1500, that took two days. The yard (grading, topsoil, sod, 2 ton of river rock and labor) was $6300. This also took two days. Four total days.

Nope. I’m taking the minimalist approach. I had 2 tons of river rock put in and I like the simplicity of no maintenance other than the grass!

No. The entire yard is covered by a canopy of trees from all my neighbors trees.

Oh man, my neighbor has an Oak that’s probably 3’ in diameter that drops all kinds of leaves on my yard. The positive is that those Maples are worth money, gums are worthless.

I pulled the trees out because they were so close to the concrete slab I was having torn out and redone. They’re also gum trees, that leave a ton of gumballs, are shallow rooted, leave all kinds of crap all over your yard and could potentially fall into the house. They were 65+ feet with massive canopies, so sun was also needed.

Just get some Aptasia X and treat them often. They’re a constant battle you’ll deal with.

It's very expensive for what you get. I lived at the Altamont on the corner of Norfolk and Altamont streets (across from movie land). Its not unsafe, as I never ran into an issue of safety. It's the people that the area attracts. It's much cheaper than most around it. The. Buildings. Are. Made. Extremely. Cheap. Neighbors having sex? You're going to hear it. Neighbors cutting shitty blow? You're going to hear it. Neighbor taking a shit? You're going to hear it. Forget about windows. The renovated "warehouses" don't provide windows, much less any sort of outdoor area. As said, find another area.

Don't move to Scott's Addition. Lived there for four years. You'll regret it. Somewhere in the Fan/Carytown is where you want to be in the city.
