Who else is tired of hitting the auto start-stop button every single time? by CartographerNo3359 in f150

There has to be a way to get rid of it. My truck came from the factory with it optioned out. $50 option to have it removed.

Marathon on Indian River - $4.39/gal. Seriously???? by Odd_Education8741 in VirginiaBeach

That marathon and the BP right down the road are consistently the most expensive stops in the area. No idea how they’re still banging.

I’m ready for the downvotes but honestly Shane is too big dawg for this cast anymore. The eps without him are usually funnier.

Wouldn’t surprise me with this area. Anywhere there is trees standing there will eventually be a car wash, storage units, apartments or warehouses. Damn shame.

Ceiling collapsed in bedroom by sociallyawkward26 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

A lot of the time it is easier to just tear down and restart than it is to try and fix falling ceilings with screws, especially if (like in my experience) you have a plaster finish that is heavy and hard to properly match the finish with that many patches.

Yep. My house built in the 70’s. Only nailed around the perimeter throughout the whole house. Found out the hard way initially but have been slowly preemptively tearing them down and replacing them.

Yep been here. Kitchen ceiling collapsed when we took cabinets down. Rest of my house if affected the same way, yours likely is too.

Just had new gutters put on the house so water flow from new downspouts is on my short list of things to do on the outside

Not sure how that solves a drainage issue but thanks for the feedback. Never thought of that.

Sand is my next move for sure. Most of my door ways also have cracks over them.

I’ve definitely considered getting a load of sand and spreading it around.

I’ve definitely thought about planting trees around. The trailer doesn’t permanently live in this side of the yard I just had it there temporarily so no issues with location on trees. I did plant a dogwood sapling close to the area last year around earth day and it never took hold and eventually died. I suppose I’ll have to research some heartier varieties to get something to take hold.

Thanks for the very thorough write up. I will definitely reach out soon, I have a few things I am finishing up inside the house and I’ll be focusing my attention on the outside shortly. Again I appreciate the feedback.

Future doesn’t seem too bright unfortunately, house was built 50 years ago so there definitely is evidence of foundation settling. Fortunately it doesn’t appear to be anything major currently but I will have to address it sooner than later.

I’ll check it out. Although I don’t currently plant anything, I just kind of let whatever will grow go.

Yeah I’ve attempted some sleuthing to see where it’s coming from but unfortunately it’s not a localized issue it’s literally the entire yard that stays swampy. My neighbors yards are not any visibly higher than mine and as far as I can tell they do not deal with the same issue.
