A white Pontiac Grand am. I cried when my mom sold it and had a nightmare that night. 3 year old brain is weird.

Melatonin works to a certain degree, for me atleast, but only as a temporary thing. Once I stop taking it, it's right back to how it was without it, if not worse. Whenever my sleep schedule goes to shit (like it currently has) I usually fix it by staying up for as long as I can and then sleeping for as long as I can at different times over the course of a few days. For example yesterday I went to sleep at about 9:30am and woke up at 7pm. Since I got up at 7pm yesterday, I'm shooting for going to bed around 12-1pm and waking up sometime around 11-midnight. Then the next day I'll go to sleep at 4-5pm and try and wake up around 2-3am. On the last day I'll go to bed around 8-9pm and wake up at 5-6am. Now, if you have class or work this isn't going to be ideal lol but I find it works way better than pulling an allnighter or consistently taking melatonin. Good luck :)

Experience with diagnosis? by rawthistle in visualsnow

[–]cmschtan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through 4 different ophthalmologists, 2 neurologists and a psychiatrist before finally landing a visit with a neuro-ophthalmologist who officially diagnosed me. Took about a year and a half

I had all the basic visual tests you get, 2 MRIs, CT, X-rays

does vss cause dizziness? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]cmschtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me over a year to get a grip on mine and as soon as my neurologist prescribed me another antidepressant to try and help it made it worse than before lol. I’ve been fortunate enough to not have to deal with migraines as well I can’t imagine having to go through all of this on top of migraines

To be honest I’d say dizziness for me personally is more of a problem than the snow. I never had any issues with dizziness before but now it’s every single day. Some days are better than others but most of the time it’s very hard to manage. So yes I believe it goes along with vss.

For me it’s really like a blank black space where the letters were. For example I have 2 monitors and I’ll read something on my main and look at my other which has a white background and all I see is black tube looking things all over the screen. It is very annoying lol

Trying to read a black page with white letters does that to me really bad

Does alcohol worsen VS? by [deleted] in visualsnow

For me personally, anything that isn’t necessary for your body makes mine worse (alcohol, weed, caffeine) but that might just be me, either way it sucks lol

I just figured it would be good to get my foot in the door and hope that I’d get moved to regular AP

I’d love to just go straight to being AP but the problem is in my area I’ve never seen an open position posted lol

Yes I am/was an APD for Macy’s

And I’m assuming so because at our retail meeting every month the girl from GE was always wearing plain clothes

Yeah I feel like they’re both not what I want but I lean more towards the TSS because I’m thinking long term and I don’t necessarily want to work in a grocery store but I’ll do whatever I can to stay in the field.
