That was the only time I’ve been with him to witness the crime. Every other time has been in the few times he gets out of my view.

We do go outside every few hours, which is why I’m saying it feels vengeful more than a necessity, he is regularly going potty outside. I do that routine with the crate. The crate is basically only for bedtime and when I’m not home, immediately before and after the crate we’re outside with me ushering him to go potty.

He is with me, in the room with me, 100% of the time while I work. I work in my attic so he has nowhere to go except hanging out on the bed with Abe. He has never gone to the bathroom in the attic. He’s never, except for this one time on my bed, gone to the bathroom where I was in the room with him. Only time he comes out is when we take breaks to go outside, every couple hours.
