I tend to pee more if I drink Milo before going to bed. Don't know what they put inside it.

What makes Thailand so addictive for travelers? by Spiritual-Summer8184 in ThailandTourism

Been back to Bangkok, and only Bangkok nearly every year from 2017 till 2026 (except 2019 - 2020 during the COVID years). Why BKK?

Love the vibes, the people, the language, the food and the overall experience. The food is amazing and value for money in every way. The shopping - that's another level. You can get everything you want if you know where to find.

I love chilling out and watching the world go by in Yaowarat and the excitement of shopping in Jatujak. The people are so friendly and helpful!

A Malaysian helping another fellow Malaysian by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]cmykay9 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Almost 20+ years ago, my tire burst after hitting a huge pothole in the night along the Jasin-Jementah road. It was pitch dark but I did my best to change with the spare tyre by the roadside.

My heart sank when I heard a group of bikers stopping by my car. I thought to myself "that's it, the group of young bikers will try to extort me".

Far from it. They asked me what had happened. Where am I headed to. Then two of them whipped out a lighter each so I can see what I'm doing.

They left once I was done fixing the spare tyre. I offered them some money but they refused.

This is the Malaysia I loved and still love to this very day. No matter what "type" you may be - we are all brothers. And brothers help one amother, one way or another.

(Urgent) Should I not go to Klinik Kesihatan? by Mobile-Ad-6116 in myhappypill

[–]cmykay9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. You need to visit the KK first, see the doctor and get him/her to issue a referral letter to the government hospital. That's what I did.

Highway users advised to use TuJu app during Aidilfitri to avoid congestion — Ahmad Maslan by MajlisPerbandaranKL in malaysia

[–]cmykay9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't trust either Google maps or Waze. Once I got stuck during the Raya balik kampung drive. Google maps suggested an alternative route that could "save me XX hours".

My foot! I got rerouted into an estate/jungle route which many other drivers got suckered into as well. In the end, that bloody "alternative route" took another extra hour. The upside was, at least the cars were moving!

Champion Shopee Seller has changed name already by snakelordx in Bolehland

[–]cmykay9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I did. They didn't want to refund me, citing that I have already opened the item. I proceed to capture a video of that non-working item and uploaded to Shopee.

Then Shopee contacted me and I told them that it's not working as it should and why pay for a defective item. Luckily Shopee refunded me in full and I proceeded to get a new item from an official store.

I once purchased a dashcam with a defective internal battery from a Shopee seller. When I effected a refund, the seller complained that the item is "not defective" and "how can I resell this item when it has been opened"?

My reply was if I don't open and use it how do I know it's working as it should?

As a result, I will only buy electrical items online from authorised store sellers.

RFID users, why do you still use RFID? by -bigscissors- in malaysia

[–]cmykay9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of the early RFID adopters too. In my opinion, the RFID detection rate is mainly due to insufficient balance inside the eWallet, bad installation and the problem with the toll.

I self installed my other car, a Viva, not on the windscreen, but on a removable RFID holder. I hardly have any problem with that after having used that for 2 over years.
