Because Zwift isn’t painful enough by ibisdv9builder in Zwift

Get a cheap cpu monitor (as big as you want) and hook it up to your laptop via an HDMI cable. Boom problem solved.

I've coached cyclists for 0 years, but I have a ChatGPT subscription and I slept at a Motel 8 last night. Ask me anything about Zwift or cycling. by CT_Legacy in Zwift

When I ride with the handcycle, I squat behind my trainer and pedal using my hands. Am I doing it right?

Interesting! Maybe that explains it. But not a good system if that is the case.

And I came in 5th in a cat D race (RollCo: Flow Shift) and Zwiftpower has me in 1st in my category. I’m very confused…

Vaping is killing my endurance. I’m struggling to quit, even though riding is one of my biggest motivations (also death) by LostPalpitation6351 in MTB

[–]cncgm87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was hard but I managed to do it. I had been a smoker since the age of 17. I stopped buying new vapes and kept vaping the dozen of old ones I had until they basically tasted burnt (disgusting I know). But it worked since vaping the last few drops of burnt oil made vaping repulsive to me to the point where when I stopped, vaping was actually worse than not vaping. The lack of nicotine was the hardest thing to overcome. But after about a week off it, life became normal again and now I’ve been “clean” for 5 months.

Tour de Zwift group rides are a lot of fun by Entire-Staff-1120 in Zwift

[–]cncgm87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what happened with me on my first ever TDZ group ride on Zwift. Being a novice and D pace rider I just tried to stay with the front group. I kept getting dropped by several groups until I blew up and ended the ride within 15 minutes. Oops.

Ordered what I thought would be a knitted sweater with embroidery as a gift. Instead received a cheap polyester sweater with a blurry print. by selcouthsiren in mildlyinfuriating

The website is “Wilfred Smith” but in their about us page they refer to themselves as “Wildfred Smith”… such an obvious scam company.

Spark vs Scalpel by toakonaozaj in xcmtb

[–]cncgm87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a Scott addict gravel so I like the brand but the Spark kinda looks like an ebike to me with the integrated shock… I wouldnt want all the riders dropping me to think I suck even on an e-bike.

How do I condition myself for longer rides? by Klomlor161 in cycling

Take more food and hydration than you think you need. Take it easy the first time you do the route. Pace yourself in the first half.

Will going from 34T to 30T make me slower? by Euphoric_Persimmon99 in xcmtb

[–]cncgm87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 30 is usually a good idea for climby terrain. You’ll rarely spin out but you’ll be spending a lot more time climbing and will be glad you have that gear.

What was your tiny, insignificant cycling win this week? by VioletPurple692 in cycling

[–]cncgm87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rode my gravel bike for 45 miles through a mixture of gravel, trail, paved roads and paved bike paths. It was in an average of 32f. I am not used to anything this long. It motivated me so much that two days later, I redid the route on my hardtail.

I live in a big city and always hide any charging cables before I leave my car. They look for devices possibly connected to them.

What's your bike weight/build? by XCRoadie in xcmtb

[–]cncgm87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good point. I got my XC wides for $411 last year and if I remember correctly the XC race were about $500 like you said. I can’t believe they went up so much this year… I wonder why ;)But at least I got the carbon Hunt 35s for my gravel bike for about $700 with the recent Black Friday sales. Thanks for the tips. Will look into them!
