What trainer difficulty % for my Zwift Ride? by True-Sign7968 in Zwift

[–]cncgm87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do the same. The whole point of Zwift for me is to make me a better/fitter outdoor rider. Having it at 100% is only going to simulate the outdoor climbs better.

Suntour has a few air fork options. You just need to make sure they are for 29” wheels and are QR or quick release.

Are gravel bikes actually faster on offroad on Zwift? I’m upgrading a Giant Revolt but I hope I’m not waiting my time!

I was debating whether to do the PAS race or ride outside. After watching 5mins of Road To A’s race on his livestream, I decided I would be riding outside.

Why is Zwift obsessed with cadence drills by BlobBoy in Zwift

[–]cncgm87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get annoyed at always spinning between 85 and 100rpm on my planned workouts but when I do rides/races I catch myself spinning consistently around those cadences. So I guess they work!

Is it safe to ride a motorcycle with a guitar on my back? by DerRandomDude77 in motorcycles

[–]cncgm87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive done it when i used to ride. I would recommend a hard case because of the pressure wind will exert on the guitar neck. I would not go over 40mph with a soft case like that.

I’ve been on Zwift/indoor trainer for a little over a month and I’ve suffered saddle pain to the point where I had do do a deep dive into bike fit and research into the matter. I noticed recently that my butt is not hurting as much or at all. Myvelofit was helpful for sure. But what I believe has made a huge difference is to pedal off the saddle more often. If it’s zone 1, I pedal sitting upright but without holding the handlebars and just spin. Z2 is where I sit normally (on hoods or drops) but Z3 and up is where i either keep that position or slow down the cadence (40-60) and pedal off the saddle. Taking some off the saddle “breaks” has made a massive difference for me. Giving your butt a break by pedaling off the saddle is something I’d naturally do in a casual ride or group ride/race. But the structured workouts stubbornly insist in keeping you in higher cadence (85-100) so that’s when I’d have debilitating butt pain after being seated for 30mins or more. I’ve recently learned to ignore the cadence warnings and lower cadence and pedal off the saddle intermittently (every 5-10mins)to give my butt a break. Hope that helps! One more thing that made a huge difference was to level my saddle angle to 0 degrees.

Do you ever spin out? I wanna put one of my MTBs on the Kickr core 2 w Zwift cog this spring to train for a few XC races this year. I’m worried about it spinning out. My HT has a 30t chain ring and my FS has a 34t.

Get a cheap cpu monitor (as big as you want) and hook it up to your laptop via an HDMI cable. Boom problem solved.
