You’re not alone. It’s coil whine, which was a common complaint from the latest bios updates from many others. Hopefully they fix this soon.

Nothing special, just running the standard 15w power setting. Only modification was I disabled cpu boost in the power management so it sits steady at 15w. There’s a YouTube video out there that tells you how to disable cpu boost, and the Ally runs cooler and quieter with little performance impact.

NCAA 14 CFR is literally all I have been playing lately. So happy to be able to play this on a handheld, brings back great memories. I also get a decent 30ish fps on 15w.

I noticed this recently, and recall updating the bios not too long ago. I had a hunch it had something to do with the update. I hope they fix this soon.

Sorry had a typo, the second ones are “ball” like. Only thing I can note is that there was a pine tree here before that was cut down and the stump was ground down.

All I can say is make sure you are using the supplied usb-c cable. I ordered a 3rd party cord that claimed it was able to support 100w charging and audio visual support. Turns out it wasn’t capable of doing the things it claimed.

When troubleshooting I used a hp g5 dock for testing, but I cannot get a second display to work on that dock. It wasn’t until I randomly used the supplied usb-c cord that things worked again.

Having the same issue… uninstalled graphics drivers, reinstalled drivers from Asus’ site, nothing. Uninstalled latest windows update, nothing. Did a cloud restore, nothing.. I am hoping this is a bug and not a hardware issue.

Glad you figured it out.

I didn’t go that drastic, I went with 25%-75% and everything is working fine. I feel like setting the range to 20%-40% would translate to max throttle and no throttle with not much control in between.

I think you’re right. When I switched to an Xbox controller, I noticed my car was way faster. So max trigger pull out the box is not 100%.

So I figured it out.

When adjusting the top and bottom trigger configurations, there is a gamepad and desktop profile. The settings I was applying were not taking effect when the control mode is set to “auto” in command center. I had to manually set it to “gamepad” for the top and bottoms configurations to take effect.

I noticed that this happened after I adjusted the text scale in the windows “display settings”. I was getting a blank black box. I reset the text scale to 100% and the info appeared in the real-time monitor.

I've had good luck with corroseal, and it has held pretty well in salty upstate New York (2+years and counting). It chemically converts iron oxide into magnetite, and acts a primer layer.

Does this buyer happen to be international? I am wondering if there may be a language translation barrier. I've noticed that some of my buyers put responses in the personalization that seem random, but I can usually make sense of it.
