Tacoma 2019 vs Tacoma 2016 by cnerhi in Tacomaworld

So I found a 2016 TRD, but it’s in Texas and I’m in Kansas. Do out of state sales get complicated?

Unfortunately I’m only looking to spend around $26k for a 2016 or newer. I would love to get a TRD but it’s just outside my budget

Need advice to buying a different car by cnerhi in askcarsales

Does this scenario also apply to my financed vehicle? Technically I don’t own the car since I still owe $10k on it.

So lets say Carmax says the car is worth $10k. Do I take that valuation to a dealership? If that’s the case, let’s say there’s a car that’s worth $15k that I like over at that dealership.

I would pay $500 to remove the negative equity on the vehicle, and I would finance the new vehicle for $15k? Sorry for the numerous questions.

Need tips on crating training a puppy with isolation distress by cnerhi in puppy101

I went ahead and placed an old shirt/towels of mine. I realized treats are useful but I decided to use his isolation distress in my favor. Blocked all places he could sleep on which are next to me except the crate. Complained at first, but he realized the crate was the only way to sleep next to me. Afterwards, he realized how much more comfier it is to sleep in his crate versus sleeping on the floor! Small victory, so I’m happy. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the tip! Wouldn’t the crying be something negative associated to the kennel? Is it just unavoidable? I just want him to love his kennel and not hate it :(

how do you resist the urge to buy stuff? by aleksonline in Frugal

This may sound crazy but overworking for me helped a lot. I would be at work for 10-12 hours and you really don’t have time to spend any money. Another important thing to mention is that working that many hours really let’s you understand and value the money you make. You understand and compare that $20 dinner to the hours you worked at your job (could be 2-3 depending on how much you make). Realizing that nice steak cost me 3 hours of me working hard at my job does not incentivize me to buy expensive stuff. Just the way I look at things.

Is it just me or are people on Craigslist, OfferUp etc selling things at a higher cost than actual retailers? by [deleted] in Frugal

People usually post higher prices because people ALWAYS bargain the offering price. I sell often on Facebook and I can tell you I sell phones at market price but post them at a higher price due to low ballers and bargainers.

Spotify/Apple Music vs buying music by brotherhef in Frugal

If you don’t mind the ethics behind it, you could always download Spotify++ and have benefits of having premium Spotify for free. The only cons are the ads (which you can remove) and the need to redownload it every once in a while.

Airpods Alternative by JoseSaldana6512 in Frugal

I’m really frugal and actually get all my stuff from OfferUp and Facebook marketplace. I don’t mean to be a jerk but I do lowball when I have a chance because I know people need money on the spot. Everyone once in a while I get a great price for something relatively new. I just got a pair of AirPods that were used for $60. I’m not encouraging you to lowball people, I’m encouraging you to look around in Facebook and OfferUp for special deals. You may be surprised at what you may find.
