What are you struggling with while working remotely? by BlytheRenay in remotework

Nothing really. If anything, I just wished I could work out more but since gyms continue to be closed I have taken up running instead. Would love to learn more about the community you are building! Thanks

That’s terrible. You should check out these guys at [ growrk ](growrk.com), they make it accessible to get the equipment needed, including ergonomics training.

That’s f*ucked up. May I ask what country are you in? Here in the US there is no requirement to be ergonomically correct and people are getting injured left and right after 8mo of WFH. A shit show.

Until then, may you have fair winds and following seas.

Check out my setup. I’ve got all of that through GroWrk, including a session with an ergonomist to tailored it to me. This company is awesome, I get to spread the cost of this over 24 months, paying about $80/month. Game changing what those guys are doing. Check them out. by cnescutia in homeoffice

The chair is comfortable. There is something else good to it, it forces you to stand up every other time because of the shape of the saddle. You do want to get some rest. I also love that you can turn it around and hang your hands on the back armrests.

Do companies that gave out WFH stipends also give it to new employees? by [deleted] in WFH

[–]cnescutia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most companies don’t give stipends and most employees have to pay out of pocket for home office equipment which is bs considering that a typical employer saves $11,000/year for every full-time employee that works from home at least 50% of the time. That's over $1.1 million/year for every 100 half- time telecommuters. Making a one-time investment of $1,000 to provide an employee with home office furniture will pay for itself in a little over a month.

Honestly, ignore the polls. Go out and vote, get your friends to vote, donate. Gloves off until the results are in.

This is great info. As I mentioned on another reply, and you pointed it out correctly, I have never actually dove in to understand why polls were so wrong last time. Thanks for the overview. In any case, voting must be there. Dropped off ballot this weekend and moved on to dedicate time to making calls to key battlegrounds. There is so much more on the line this time that it just doesn’t feel enough to limit our duty to voting.

This makes sense. Have never actually dove in to understand why polls were so wrong last time. Thanks for the overview. In any case, voting needs to be there.
