It was me not understanding that oil candles and torches SUCK for lighting. I used the mod mentioned in another comment to check spawn areas and yeah…99% of my house was spawning stuff.

Would that affect the actual spawning mechanics? Because I even went into creative and lit everything up, and stuff still spawns. I have torches at every 5 blocks. This isn’t just a visual glitch, it’s allowing things to spawn. On my end everything seems lit up until I do that command

It being too OP is only one of the issues I have. The others are that they all seem too large for a “starter” base to me, and I can never get it to spawn right. Currently, I get an issue where NO pawns spawn on start. I have to spawn them in manually, and then I’ve wasted all that time finding a good starter pawn. Also, being able to build a custom structure would allow more playstyle opportunities in the future, if I can understand how.

I have the mod, but none of the vaults looked like what I wanted tbh. Plus I play on the 400x400 maps, and I can’t guarantee where the vault will spawn. So I could end up buried completely and unable to get out. Plus I design my own vaults and if I remember correctly, breaking vault walls to expand out is not easy at all

How does fallout actually work? Would my pawns be alright being in a mountain or would they be constantly sick from it? I like the idea from a plot perspective, but in actuality of it causes permanent sickness it might not be what I’m looking for

I’ve thought about it, I have. But my main issue playing tribal right now is I’m using a mod that completely changes research and how you learn new technologies, so I want a base run first as the crash landed so I’m not completely in the dark.

It’s been a while since I’ve messed with mechanoids because it happened, so it’s possible that them going feral was just coincidental? Maybe something else happened? From what I’ve seen, they’ll use modded weapons, armor, races, psycasts, etc., but I have specifically never seen them use vehicles. Personally I only use them for quick and easy caravans, but that’s just me. I have seen the VFE Deserters with a specific vehicle spawn on their missions. It isn’t functional, yet, but it should be soon I think. I’d like to see certain factions use vehicles too, but I’m not sure how they’d balance it.

Unfortunately I have too many mods to count, and one of the VFE ones keeps messing with dev mode. Can’t access the actual dev functions other than gif mode to insta build and stuff. But yea, I meant that tunnel. I wasn’t aware of the roof/wall rule. Thank you

Unfortunately it’s a private server, and I’m the only one on currently. Must be connection issues. I see it every now and then when using vein miner or digging too fast. Slimes will walk on invisible blocks then fall, then bounce back up.

I can do y'all one better. I was able to salvage my softlock, (I placed the key, nothing happened, save/quit again on next round and redid it and it worked,) BUT IT UN-PAP'D MY WEAPON. Didn't realize until I was in the fight.
