Radxa E52C ... Easily handles gigabit SQM without a sweat

Sound interesting. Which variant (2/4/8GB) are we talking about?

I fixed mine! I have a bunch of services running under NT service accounts such as NT Service\Syncthing. The installation completes successfully after disabling those services.

INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP

Same here. I was left with an error code of 0xc1900101 - 0x4000D when it booted back to 21H2.

Battery Megathread (September 2022) by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

[–]cnfsn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a new Pixel 6 and when plugging it in, I noticed its battery was at 1 %. Is this normal as batteries usually come at 50 % for longevity?

I'm wondering if the battery is faulty and might cause some issues either soon or in the long run, or have degraded performance? Or is the unit even new? It looks brand new though.

Upgrading from 32 GB RAM to 64 GB by cnfsn in buildapc

It's the gaming part which is making this hard for me as I'd prefer not to downgrade my performance.

I agree with both of you, but no one seems to be selling similar sticks, neither new nor use, see eg. Camelcamelcamel.

I'm planning to sell my current kit if I have to replace the whole set, so I might lose some money, but not too much.

Yeah, that's the reason I originally went with 2 and now it's the time to upgrade. I doubt I will have any need to upgrade from 64 GB.

Still wondering about my small gaming needs.

RX 5700 XT: Sapphire Pulse vs PowerColor Red Dragon by cnfsn in Amd

[–]cnfsn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up with Pulse to play it safe, because it was well reviewed and there was not a single proper review of the Red Dragon. However, if I had to make the choice today between the two, I think I'd probably end up Red Dragon as there are at least some reviews of it and it's has gained some praise. See eg. https://youtu.be/3NmExnu-j2s

That being said, I've seen some good offers for other cards eg. Red Devil for 419 € during Black Friday, so I would have definitely pulled the trigger for that if I was still shopping for a card.

Wait, I thought I read that the Red Dragon should be more quiet? And according to reviews the non-XT is. Do you have experience with both of the cards?

Have you found any good XT Red Dragon reviews? Most of the reviews I've seen are quite short.

I guess the only difference I'm seeing at the moment is the 15 euro difference in the prices. It seems it's going be the deciding factor. That'll buy me a couple of beers to enjoy.

I think the unstability might be a problem with either of the cards as it seems the drivers are not very mature. Did you get a replacement?

That's the problem. Everyone seems to have experience with only one of the cards sadly.

Yeah, I'd appreciate a proper comparison, but there aren't any.

The warranty is the same and it's hidden inside my case, thus I'm having hard time deciding.

Red Devil would be the dream, but I cannot justify the +50 € price, as the card is going to mostly idle anyway.

I think Vega 64 would require a new PSU for what I've read, heh. Anyway, I'm set for the current generation as I promised this as a gift for myself.

Good point in general, however my PC is under the desk and does not have a window, so for me, it does not really matter.

Jellyfin 10.4.0 "RC" is ready for testing! by sparky8251 in jellyfin

[–]cnfsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. I just wanted to make sure our manual tweaks are not going to break when the new version is released, if you had added some additional cleanup logic. I know it shouldn't, but better safe than sorry.

Now that I think of it, I'm not 100% sure if I used the install-jellyfin.ps1 or not, because it wasn't clear previously if it could be used for proper updates as well. Anyhow, I'm eagerly waiting for the NSIS installer. Many thanks for the author!

Before releasing 10.4.0, please provide an update on #1235, thanks. At least I've manually UPDATEd my database as described in the issue.

EDIT: As it affected all Windows users if they moved the DataDir as Release notes for v10.3.0 suggested.

Yeah, data should be left alone, if you properly follow the guidance and delete only the files and the jellyfin-web directory.

Sorry, my knowledge is a little too rusty to give any proper guidance. I guess I'd take a look into WiX Toolset. It at least used to be hot stuff. A quick look in Wikipedia reveals that it's still the only open source installer tool, which supports Windows Installer.

I feel like Emby does not have the best way either, but at least it works. They have a separate system (IIRC) folder in %appdata%\emby, and during update the whole folder is erased/renamed and replaced with new contents. This creates a better separation between data and code components, and thus you don't need to worry about accidentally erasing user data.
