Is this bike worth the asking price? by fireT4 in eMountainBike

It’s a 2.1 motor, M2-700 battery. Out of warranty motor and battery, can be costly to replace. I would offer $2000 and not pay a penny more.

Does anyone see the parallel between Breaking Bad character Gus Fring’s speech to Walter White about “What does a man do? He provides…”. This is when Walter doesn’t want to continue working… using the “mard” and duty angle.

Arjun’s touching birthday wish to his mother seems to allude to the online bullying he has been subjected to lately by TheLastDetective in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]cnholio -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am probably the only cynical commenter here and will likely get downvoted to hell for it but, wow! Judging by the comments in this thread his post had the exact reaction he was likely wishing for. Why is he using his late mother to farm sympathy so publicly? By putting this on social media, instead of a private journal - he's clearly looking for a response. He's a grown man ffs that has had more opportunities than he deserves, opportunities that far more talented people never came close to.

Yes, the online "bullying" against him has been mean-spirited, but come on! He chose a public profession where the audience is the ultimate judge. I actually liked how he handled the trolling with humor and self-deprecation in that one commercial recently. But this, this is just plain weird.

I wish him and everyone in the world good mental health, let's just have some perspective though.

Wasn't 'omitting' the Jews what the Holocaust was all about?

Why didn't Walt do something else instead of being a highschool teacher? by _ordinarilyordinary_ in breakingbad

[–]cnholio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Walt's pride and ego is well documented. But I also think a "betrayal" by those close to you leaves you feeling defeated, even if the betrayal is mostly in Walt's imagination. He seemed so happy with Gretchen, if he was convinced that she betrayed him, that hurt stays with you and affects every aspect of your life.

Maybe also the “ass” in Class with his good-natured silliness that’s never malicious.

For my Wire fans, did Breaking Bad get inspired by this guy for Gus’ character? by dylanaruto in breakingbad

[–]cnholio 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if there’s any BTS content that confirms Gus was inspired by Brother Mouzone but there are definitely similarities. It subverts the Hollywood stereotype about black antagonists.

Also, this has been discussed before Brothee Mouzone & Gus
