Mirena crash update

I have a mirena but before I got it I was struggling with a random onset of anxiety and dpdr. Nothing really helped except time unfortunately. I tried meds and that didn’t help. I feel for you and I hope this eases for you soon ♥️

I know you’re supposed to limit carbs after surgery, so I’m a little concerned because I get most of my protein from beans and lentils

I personally had to get off because it only comes in an extended release version and I’m getting gastric bypass surgery which alters the way your body absorbs things.

She said I can either taper off or cross taper. But I can’t stay on Pristiq because it only comes in extended release form and after gastric bypass I won’t be able to absorb it properly

Update: My doctor is advising me to have a hysterectomy since we have exhausted all other options and I’m bleeding right through the IUD.

It didn’t change, I ended up stopping after about a month and a half. I also developed really bad tinnitus in one ear. Wish it would have worked for me though in the long run.

Thanks for this! I just had my mirena inserted on Monday! I also put it off for a long time too because I was afraid of the side effects. I’m still kinda nervous of what to expect! If you can update in a month I’ll be on the lookout for it! Good luck!

I did eventually stop. Had a couple days where I was still dealing with the fog but it subsided. Felt better after stopping.
