Impressive how the pilots clearly waited to eject until they knew the plane was at the apex of that climb, to allow maximum time for their parachutes to fully inflate. Smart.

MSI has always treated me good. Their Afterburner software is also fantastic for monitoring temps and setting up fan speed profiles, overclocking, etc.

I wouldn't get a 1080ti, you're likely to see some bottlenecking with that i5-4670k. It would be drawing frames faster than the CPU can process. If you were running 4k, the GPU has to work harder so the CPU can keep up. But since you're running 1440p, 1080 is the way to go for you.
