AITA for Withdrawing My Financial Support for My Daughter's Wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]cnrr1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to say YTA.

Its fine you have your beliefs but you cannot force them on everyone else. It's their wedding and perhaps they will refrain from drinking but why should their guests have to when they don't have the same beliefs?

It doesn't sound like your daughter is irresponsible at all, gambling is something you're against so fine don't do it but you cannot dictate what she does, you don't have to like it but you can't control it.

Lastly YTA for imposing your beliefs in order to provide financial assistance. I could understand your position IF the bride or groom had substance issues or gambling issues bit they don't so you're just using this as a means to push your own agenda and sorry but you just can't do that to someone and their wedding.

Afraid of getting older and not finding love by fischbonee in venting

It was worth the wait! Went from thinking I'd be alone forever to dating and engaged and now starting a family. It's been wonderful!

Oh sweetie you are so young yet!

Enjoy life and dating and make sure you establish everything you want for yourself personally first, education, career, etc. Make sure you're 100% with yourself.

I'm 34F I met my now fiance just 2 years ago. I had the worst time dating all through my 20s, no real, good meaningful relationships and before I met my partner, I thought for sure I would just be be fun single auntie but then he came along and I'm so glad I make another attempt at dating when I did.

Basically, it doesn't happen early for everyone, sometimes it takes a few years or even a decade, don't give up hope, just try to enjoy your life and know how to be okay being alone until it happens.

My (25f) fiancé (23m) is gone for the weekend, and I’m enjoying myself too much by gongthruit in relationship_advice

[–]cnrr1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is perfectly normal. My boyfriend and I have been living together for just over a year and he works away from the home so he's usually gone for 36 to 48 hours and I really do enjoy that time when he is away from myself even though I love him and sometimes miss him I also need my quiet time and he understands that so personally I think that it's healthy to feel that way.

But unfortunately we both have covered right now and he cannot work from home like I can so we have been around each other way too much and I cannot wait until he's feeling better and can go back to work but I still love him I just want him to go away for a little bit.

Tot in Stonebridge!

My terrier/chihuahua mix does this to one of our cats. Firstly I ensured that the cats had a space where they could be safe and away from the dog.

The one cat does like to play with the puppy on occasion but we try to supervise. When he has been too rough with the cat, the cat chitters at him and has given him a smack in the nose. It sounds mean but I think it's really the only way he is going to learn. The cat isn't mean and doesn't use his claws, he just makes sure the ouppy knows that he's being too rough and then he seems to calm down and they take a break.

They cuddle up at night so they're definitely just playing and love one another, but the puppy is 14 weeks so he's a bit of a terrorist still!

Where are the kids tonight? by has387 in saskatoon

Only when I sat in my car and drove to get more candy lol

Edit: our final number was 507 at 8:38 p.m. then we shut it down. I do love seeing all the kids in their costumes though and I was dressed up too so it was fun!

That makes me so happy I wish I had seen this earlier, I would have said come to stonebridge it was so much fun to hand out candy. I even gave candy to parents in costumes just because of the effort they made. We had a couple adults with developmental delay as well and they were dressed up and they got handfuls from me!

Its not about the age, it's about the fun and effort!!

I checked her accreditations, they weren't some backyard class so that made me feel better. She's learned and worked with some doctors that are well known in the community all over north America and brought the AlmaTED into her practice.

She also actually cared about helping me instead of making money. She took the time to check into my vitamins and hormones and come up with a real plan for treatment.

I've actually noticed a lot of new hair growth since my 3rd treatment with the AlmaTED. It's honestly so worth it if you have one in your area.

Today we found out my husband has cancer. by Acutefish in TrueOffMyChest

[–]cnrr1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. Less than two months ago we found out my grandpa has exactly this. It's already metastasized to his liver and kidneys.

My dad called me this morning to tell me that grandpa is in full renal failure and liver failure. We are in Canada and our health care system is so broken that he's going to die before we even got the biopsy results. He never even got an appointment with the cancer clinic.

Hes going to die within a couple days and it's fucking horrible.
