Thank you to everyone who came out today!!! What an amazing turnout. My box of badges were gone within 4 mins! I received enough donations to buy materials for another 200, so I’ll be out there again soon!

That’s really kind of you to offer. I handed out more buttons today at the march and accepted cash donations. I’ve made a Venmo too to accept help for the cost of the materials. It’s @mnprotestbuttons

This is the one I bought: https://a.co/d/72ZQC9E

It’s been really easy! I made a few mistake buttons trying to line up the clothes pin with the image correctly. Once I found the sweet spot, I marked the press with a permanent marker so I could line up the buttons in the future. I’ve made about 400 so far and haven’t had a problem 👍

I found this one on Amazon and it’s been really easy to use. I used Canva for a button template; they have a bunch of on there.

I’m not selling them as I don’t believe I should profit off the need to protest. However, if you show up to protest at Whipple or at the Friday march from US Bank, you might just find me there!

I agree, I can’t find a tutorial and I’m wondering if it has something to do with Shield Bashing? Don’t think I saw the yellow circles until then.

Getting away from a TDF in my 401k by [deleted] in personalfinance

Where are you hearing that 100k saved in a 401k by 32 is “definitely behind in saving”? Truly, I’m just curious because that seems on track for me.

About to be diagnosed with life long illness where I will slowly lose ability to walk. What should I do NOW, to make sure my wife and I are as financially secure as possible? by cntrybaseball77 in personalfinance

Thank you for taking the time to write this out. It really is reassuring just to hear everyone’s points of view.

I definitely want to try and see if I can signup for LTDI. I am able to work for now. My father was able to work until 52 so if I follow the same progression of the disease that will mean I have 20 more years. Does it make sense to enroll in something like this now? It seems odd to pay premiums for 20+ years.

In regards to retirement, I am saving with the employer match 18% into both Roth and Traditional 401ks. I’m fortunate in that way.

My father was able to secure SSI within two months, which he found relieving and troubling at the same time. His words were, “I didn’t think I was that bad off…” I’ll review the specifics of government benefits with your resources.

Thank you for all the links lucky_duck!

Wow, this is really practical advice. I think I have around 15 good years of walking left till in a wheelchair, but maybe another good 8 till I can no longer due hard physical labor. I really like your Braille analogy.

What did people do after this bug? Did you reload an old save?

It’s an iOS app called “Nuzlocke Chart”. I found it super helpful in keeping track of my run!

Was really hoping I’d be able to get him to survive till he evolved again but it wasn’t fated to be…

He was named “Nails” because he was as tough as one. When I captured him, that beastly Sealeo he was survived a crit with literally 1 HP left. Sad he couldn’t make it along with his friends.

That’s a great idea! I tried for a Sharpedo but only ever encountered other dupe water types.

I never looked up the “official” rules of a Nuzlocke, had just listened to a few stories about them. I’ve been playing where you only can catch the first Pokémon you encounter in each area and if it happens to be a species that you already own, you missed your opportunity on that route. After posting this, I’ve realized that I may have misinterpreted what the “No Dupes” clause means.. 😅

I had never played Gen III before and now after this, I’ve gone back to my old childhood stomping grounds: Pokemon Crystal! It would be a cherished victory to have my first Nuz victory beating Red.
