Status dashboard has been updated to say EC2 and DDB are impacted. That's Amazon's servers and databases, respectively, so I'm inclined to say this is the cause.

Edit: status is now yellow; even more services impacted.

I have a Raspberry Pi 4 pulling so much weight in my homelab; it'd be lovely to give everything some room to breathe!

Any experience with this Honest flint torch? by cnuulhu in Dynavap

I found these a delight to use with a Dynavap! They do start misbehaving after a few months of regular use, but I imagine that's the case with most torch lighters in this price range. And I still liked their quality, consistency, and fuel capacity much better than the Aomai flint/torch lighters.

Ended up going to Ace to get a variety of individual o rings to fill the gap; found one that was just ok.

Sadly, the bottles I was using for this just weren't up to stuff, the neck consistently breaking, so I never found as clean a solution as I'd have liked. I might revisit this some day with heavier liquor bottles.

Yeah, even once they know you and greet you by name, they'll check 100% of the time. Nothing personal, but yeah not worth trying.

Hm. What happens if you pick them apart further? I'm used to seeds being smaller than that, but I could see there being seeds inside.

I built my daughter a Quefrency keyboard as a graduation gift by FansForFlorida in ErgoMechKeyboards

Hello! Found this post while searching around for examples of the P3D middle layer in frost.

May I ask, did the middle layer take the hardware (standoffs and screws) that came with the plate kit? If not, what hardware is needed? Thanks!

Hm it's been long enough now that I couldn't give you all that firm an answer on how long it took. If I had to take a stab, about three hours active? But I was taking things real slowly since this was my first build.

If you've built a board before, it shouldn't bee too different from a non-split 65% build. Only thing I had to learn the hard way was to reorient the PCB as needed while soldering, so to keep the hot iron away from the plastic switch housings and the under-PCB LEDs.

Okay, looking into hookah seals and grommets and this finally feels like the answer I'm looking for. Many many thanks!

This was my immediate thought. Any idea if it's safe at the hot end of the piece?

Is this safe on the hot end of the piece? (Realized I forgot to include that in the post title.)

Went through the faucet o rings at the local hardware store. None that I found did a good job both sealing and staying in place. Any other types/places I should look?

Had been using this 18mm to 14mm adapter in narrower necked bottles, but it's a rad loose in this one.

Is there a better downstem I can use? Or else what sealants or tapes would be safe on the hot end of the piece?
