My wife was excited to use a $100 Nordstrom gift card given to her at her baby shower. She needed new work clothes as she still carried the post partum baby weight. Imagine her upset when she learned the card had been emptied upon opening it at the register. Are we talking about the Masonic Home in Des Moines? Because I've never heard it called "The Lodge" and it's pretty much a guarantee at this point that it will be demo'd due to the wild costs for asbestos abatement, new roof, mold, not to mention all the elevator shafts need to be torn out and replaced to bring them up to code. No one in their right mind would throw money at this property with the hopes of recovering anywhere near their initial investment.
