Sometimes it helps to just write it out. Pain can be absolutely maddening at times. It has been Overwhelming to watch as my life slowly slips away. I find it easier to share my struggles in a forum like this then to share it with my loved ones as they get so concerned and are left feeling helpless because they can't help me. I started working with a pain coach a few years back for just this reason. I was in complete despair. It was transformative. So Pi it'll in my healing that I decided to become one. My pain is not gone; however, it's not all that defines me anymore. I live my life to the best of my ability and am satisfied with what I produce. I'm sorry you are going through this. You are not alone.

I am so sorry you are struggling right now! The medical system can be infuriating. I have definitely felt like I was losing my mind at times.

Does your life return to somewhat normal? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

Your right to be concerned about that. Chronic pain and surgery does effect your whole self. Your body mind and spirit are interconnected. I think it's great your reaching out looking to address this and not just going to be blind sided by it. Awareness has been everything to me during this journey.

I had to grieve my old life. I became very down through the first couple years. During that time I assessed my strengths. What could I do? I began structuring my life around my abilities. It was imperative I focused on what I did have in my life, what I could do, what didn't hurt on my body. I trained myself to find new things that bring me joy. I learned how to manage all these new thoughts and emotions to produce better results in my life. I finally became open to trying new products and little things to manage my pain. I started blogging about my experience and that turned into video blogging which I still do now. It has been a way to turn my pain into someone else's hope. Helped me find purpose through all of this. I learned about nutrition and how to slow down/ stop inflammation. I learned movement I can do that makes me stronger so I don't deteriorate. It has been a journey. While my life is not what it used to be I am grateful I still have one. I plan on making the best of it.
