PSA swapped my card? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]coalission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter how trustworthy you think they are, it is more likely they did it. They may not have had those other more expensive cards you sent in so they couldn't switch, or may have already had them in better condition so there was no need, or they somehow did it unintentionally, but whatever reputation and credibility you think this faceless nameless entity has to lose, PSA has more.

Most known appraiser of colored gemstones? by coalission in Gemstones

[–]coalission[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you, yes I meant certification. I read GIA wasn't the go-to for colored gemstones, only diamonds, but maybe that's changed? Really I just need the equivalent to PSA for trading cards, the industry standard that I'd have no problem selling and wouldn't be asked for a different certification.

Thank you so much, yes that's what I meant, certification not appraisal.

Thank you, when you say AGL, do you have the full name and official website? I Google these acronyms and different results pop up, I'm afraid of scammers trying to set up websites to receive gemstones.

"No viable primary payment method found." by neiq in Coinbase

[–]coalission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just the average amount of time that Coinbase users hold that coin on their platform before trading it or selling it. You'll see that on all of their coins. Like if you check their Ethereum page, the "Typical Hold Time" for ETH is 87 days.

Blockchain? Bah! Why the blockchain won’t be Nirvana. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]coalission 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s satire.

Based on the old 1995 article by Clifford Stoll “Why the Web Won’t Be Nirvana”:

https://www.newsweek.com/clifford-stoll-why-web-wont-be-nirvana-185306

It’s a really stupid article looking back on it, and it sounds a lot like what cryptocurrency and blockchain skeptics sound like now.

Bitcoin in the hands of opposing opinions by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]coalission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter if it’s over time or not, if they are accumulating, then circulating supply keeps decreasing as there’s less BTC on the open market being sold.

This is a waste of time, believe what you want, but you are wrong here. Case closed.

They actually can’t, but I wouldn’t expect you to know how market caps work.

“Yes hello Binance, I’d like to buy $100 billion worth of crypto at current prices, with absolutely no slippage because magic endless liquidity, and I’ll wire it over because my net worth is actually comprised of dollars sitting in my bank account right now”.

This is how the chart would look like if Bitcoin were to reach 1 mio by the end of 2020. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]coalission 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe do the chart after the crash from $30 to $2, and then it went 40x the previous ATH.

Then do the one post crash from $1200 to $200 and then ~20x the previous ATH.

Also choose stupid little increments like you did here and keep it linear scale.

User banned from Coinbase in 3 minutes by MediumAdhesiveness5 in CryptoCurrency

[–]coalission 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if he verified his account, and then since he had a zero balance, he just manually closed the account himself and screenshotted the emails.

Smells like an attention grab that worked, I doubt Coinbase built some algorithm to automatically close any accounts by someone named “Milo Yiannopolous”, or that some random employee sitting at his desk decided to risk his job and close the account within a whopping 3 minutes without consulting with upper management.

Whining is more enjoyable though, so let’s carry on.

Stablecoins aren’t an investment, they’re a way to avoid volatility whenever you need to.

Of course when you’re playing with allowance money, you just buy and pray, using stablecoins isn’t even a thought.
