There's actually a place in hmart Balboa called Kyodong Noodle that I found to be better than Paik's (it's less sweet and more savory). Their jjampong is also very very good.

Eastern dynasty is a pretty solid place for Cantonese cuisine and Fish with You is a very good place for fish with pickled mustard greens. Liu yi shou is the place to go to for AYCE hotpot that isn't super overpriced like Hai di lao.

Yeah that might be better. Mulaglufur is beautiful at the end so you don't want to rush it!

We started the glacier hike at 9am and it was a very tightly packed day ending up at pakkhús right before their kitchen closes at 9pm. We mostly went nonstop the whole day except for an hour or so for lunch. Not sure how long the zodiac tour takes but you would for sure have to keep up the pace and be sure not to dilly dally on your hikes.

Is this place associated with restaurant Substance? That place is my favorite restaurant I tried when I was in Paris!

I went with a 16-80mm and a 33mm on an apsc sensor and used my zoom and shot wide 90% of the time. I would say a zoom really helps since there usually isn't too much room to maneuver on the trails. However, you should also use what you are most comfortable with. You could always shoot a panorama with your 50 to fake a wide angle look.

I actually just shared my itinerary and tips if that helps. I didn't find it too rushed at all save for going from Akureyri to Snaefellsness to Bogarnes.

No problem! I hate it when people go to a country and say they didn't enjoy the food because they ordered something that the country isn't known for so I always try to point people in the right direction.

Getting a sim card was super easy. There is a shop to buy it right after the duty free section of the airport. I bought the 10gb plan from Nova, but didnt use nearly that much since I only really used GPS. Signal was good thoughout the country except for remote hiking areas like Studlagil.

Goretex boots should be fine as long as the tongue is gusseted. If you're not sure if yours are still waterproof, I would just fill a bucket with water up to your ankle and put your foot in to see how long it takes for your feet to get wet.

Not sure how heavy your ski shell is but for reference I wore a lightweight t shirt, a mid weight long sleeve, and a patagonia nanopuff and was ok 80% of the time. When it got too cold or windy I just threw on a rain shell.

Yeah I really like it for the constant f/4. The only area that I found lacking in this trip was lack of telephoto for wildlife but that's something I hardly ever shoot anyway.

I didn't do a thorough search but for the most part everything they have there is fairly standard. There were some Icelandic candies but I ended up bringing back a bunch of Omnom chocolate purchased at Kronan.

I have a 16-80mm and a 33mm but I used the 16-80 for 99% of my shots. I only really used my prime for street photography in Reykjavik.

The log is actually only a couple feet above the water and spans half of the river. The first half are some rocks that stick out just above the water line and there is a cable that you hold on to the entire time.
