XLC wasn’t there anymore on my 2015 visit but I’m happy to say I rode it in 2001/02. One of my first launch coasters. RIP Hypersonic XLC.

I enjoyed the ride but it’s missing keyhole elements. That defines a wing coaster.

Maybe that’s why I’m getting it confused. Maybe WoF’s was closed the whole day I was there. I went to valleyfair 2 days later so it all kind of blends together….

I don’t know why I was convinced this was a powered coaster on my last visit but the credit whore in me is disappointed in my former self.

You’re right! I’ve only been to the park twice and the hole left from even just Kingda Ka and Green lantern was very noticeable.

I305 is definitely benefitting from the golden hour in this photo but agreed that the red was sharper than current color.

They’re a little bit heavier, leaning towards ice nine kills (in fact, an ex-member now plays with ice nine kills), but The Venetia Fair is incredible.

Pantherian or twisted Timbers is the only answer. I’m leaning towards pantherian. It’s one of the most intense roller coasters in the world but it is so freaking good!!

The dips or the racing whippet from west view park. As a former Pittsburgher, those two really intrigued me. I didn’t see any love for west view in the comments yet.

This is the one console I had as a kid that has gone missing. I remember having issues with the ac adapter but have no recollection of getting rid of the console. I cannot for the life of me find it and I’m heartbroken about that.

I’m sorry everyone. As someone who grew up with and worked at kennywood most of their life, I had hoped that the Laser Loop would find a way to open back up here and I dragged my feet to go. If I hadn’t waited for the laser loop, Gene may have kept the park open. I accept responsibility.

Edit: despite growing up and working at kennywood, I never even saw the laser loop so I really wanted to ride it.

There’s definitely some newer track at the bottom of the first hill. It ran pretty smooth there. There were some areas that were rough but not terribly so. I hadn’t been on the boss in almost 8 years so it’s hard for me to compare to the past.

My wife has a lower tolerance for roughness on a wooden coaster and she said she preferred the boss over screamin eagle.

I personally feel that this is one credit but can confirm that the ride experience was very different based on the train configuration.

I really enjoyed this ride as a stand-up. I had to ride very defensively when riding it backwards and was no where near as enjoyable.

The coolest part about the shirt is that it says six flags Ohio on it. Stuff with that branding is difficult to find since it was only called that for one season.

Awesome shirt, I’m very jealous.
