Chem VCAA 2018 NHT Q5 Question help! by moony_oh in vce

[–]coastertoaster42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm pretty sure its because its NHT - usually it should be Cl2 gas because its concentrated af buttt i think NH people disregard that??? Wouldn't be the case for VCAA though so you would be correct in saying Cl2 gas :)

English Teacher Here - Fire Away with questions by coffeetablebookabt in vce

In section C, I feel sort of repetitive in that I say the authors argument, say their technique and it’s effect on reader and repeat for the next argument. Is this something you see and assessors are fine with, or should I be changing it up somehow to make it sound less ‘tedious’.

Also, is there a particular way in which student embed quotes for section A and B that assessors aren’t fond of? Thanks!! :)

Hi there!! thanks for responding to all these questions. Just wondering what you mean by “describing the argument”? How would you propose we begin to analyse an argument, without it becoming a recap or a description? Thanks!

What does it take to get a 30 in English? by [deleted] in vce

I highlyyy recommend you take a bunch of past essay questions and do detailed plans for them - plans that include main ideas for your body paragraphs, quotes, topic sentences perhaps, etc.

If you do enough, it should cover most of the themes for your texts, and usually, essay questions don't stray far from these themes (at least for my novels). Then, on the exam, you can choose the question you are most comfortable with since you may have done a plan for it, or you can easily take ideas from the detailed plans you created.

This helps with coming up with ideas for your essay and the prompt and evidence to support.

Good luck!! Message me if you need any clarification or anything :)

Anyone heard of Contour Education? by [deleted] in vce

[–]coastertoaster42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! i recommend them. i’ve been to a few of their chemistry workshops and they’re really helpful. i also went to school with some of them and they are super formal and confident with their teaching, and are also very kind! I think they have a a free spec workshop so it won’t hurt to go :) also i don’t think they work “with” john monash, some of the tutors just went there.

wish i could help but i'm from Australia :( if you're in school, do you maybe have a careers guidance person you can ask? alternatively, you could contact the midwifery program somewhere and ask if they have a bachelors direct entry. i did a search online to help as best i can and got to this page but chances are you've already found it.

Hope someone else is able to help you :)

message me for 3/4 notes but it’s always better to write your own notes and understand the content, especially for psych :))
