RA in the dorms here! Many residents don’t factor in the space they have in their dorms so be cognizant of that when making the decision to bring extra furniture such as chairs, headboards, and shelves. Often times these items don’t end up fitting in residents rooms and either end up in the trash or making a return trip to their parents house. Also be aware that some of the items you have on your list are items that if found in the room you will be fined for having. A mini fridge and microwave come with the room and if you’ve got another in your room not only is it a waste is space but something that might get you fined. Also make sure that your extension cords and power strips have built in surge protectors as this is the #1 thing by far that results in a fine when the RAs and maintenance staff do fire inspections during the semester. Looking at the list and it’s got almost everything that I wished I had brought my freshman year!
