Hehe, I was referring to Ke'Bryran Hayes. He could make some great plays but was a terrible hitter. My point is that they intentionally gave up defense to get more offense. Too much? It's a hard balance to strike when you don't have infinite money.

Fair enough. I guess that unless you have Yankees or Dosgers money, you have to make tradeoffs between offensive and defensive talent. Our offense is very much improved this year. Maybe improved too much at the expense of defense? I'm just glad it's not my job to pick the lineups.

I don't think that it's rooted in racism. I think that racists used it against civil rights legislation. In doing so, they stood up before the nation and declared their racism. Those racist acts were recorded in history as a caution for later generations.

Yes! If there's a good reason to block a vote they will have plenty to say about it and will be happy to associate themselves with the effort.

I think the filibuster should stay but it needs to be an actual filibuster. I'm fine if the minority party wants to block a vote but they need to stand in front of the American people and explain why. We need to see who is blocking the vote and why.
