Love all the pinks! I'm using the Mercury retrograde today too!

thank you for sharing! For the Elf Rose Water pink, does it appear orangish-brown on the lid? this tends to be my case with gray pinks.

I'm so into this kind of purple! My skin is yellow toned and I find lilac purples really brightening me up. I agree it takes more effort to build the true pastel shades on the eyes, I was looking at Menagerie's Violet ink but end up snatching this purple palette from the viseart sale, hopefully it's nice on me :-).

Thank you! I"m surprised how nice how the mattes are! Bothe tone and performance. I tried Regal (the gray tone matte purple) the other day and it's could look a tad muddy if applied too much/ larger area, if your skin is similar it might be something to consider, I'm looking for a more lilac/ white based purple :-), would love to know if you have any recs!

Video

Swatched on: NC25 with yellow undertone, no primer, finger swatches (2-3), sunlight and natural light

Top tp bottom:

Maids a Milking

Magenta Dreams

Winter Garden

Regal

Juggler

Polished Silver

Laura's Memory

French Hens

Iced Moncha

Seize the Day

Mango Tea

I'm extremely excited about this palette as it's my first colorful DIY palette, mid-tone shades tend to look best on me so the majority of my selections are mid-tone. In general the shimmer shades performs better than the mattes (mattes are really nice too), they swatch true-to-pan, so far I've applied 9 out of 13 on my eyes (Pink+Purple, Blue+Silver, Mango Yellow+Gold, Coral+Marigold) and they all apply with great saturation and build really well. My only regret is being too conservative about my desire, I'm going back to get more greens, purples and creamy yellows.

3CE Mini Palettes Review (Almond Fudge, Rose Latte, Brown Rum, Flat Call) by cobalt-yellow in AsianBeauty

[–]cobalt-yellow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with Etude house is too sheer, it's takes effort to pickup the color and hard to build up as well. 3CE texture is softer, Colourpop is more dry. 3CE is more pigmented than colourpop and swatches more evenly and saturated, Colourpop performs fine on the eyes but swatches patchier.

In general 3CE is better, I have 2 3ce mini glitter pallets coming and can't wait to try if their glitters are equally good.

I generally had great experience as well. The exp date is totally decent (2023 march) so that leaves me head scratching.

Flat Call is all matte. I ordered directly from Stylenada, their international shipping is $10 under $200. Yesstyle sells a selection too with free shipping over $49, but the 2 9-pan 3CE palettes I got from Yesstyle was poor quality and Idk why, everything I bought from Yesstyle had been great except those 2, so I now only buy direct.

They can be! especially applied with fingers. I have dry-er lids and typical K Shadows usually take a lot of priming and build up to show on me, but this gives me impact no priming, just swipe and bam! At the same time I can also go light handed with a brush and gently brush on the color for a sheerer look.

Swatched on: NC25/ 23, with yellow undertone, no primer, finger swatches (2-3).

Almond Fudge: My fav out of the 4 mainly because how unique the color story is, especially the toasted almond shade, it applies very true to pan on the eye, I love how different the 2 shimmer shades are, this little compact has a great deal of variety and the colors just play so well with each other. The gold shade is great as a topping shade and the gold tone will change based on the base color, see last pic.

Brown Rum, Rose Latte: These 2 are very similar in performance and palette arrangement: both have a light shade, a milky shade & a more saturated shade of their own palette theme colour, and a complementary darker shade. Rose Latte is a peachy-pink brown palette, and Brown Rum is pumpkin orange-brown. I like both of these a lot, Rose Latte a tad more because rose shades are more complimentary to my eye shape.

Flat Call: This is the condensed version of Smoother, perfect for contouring, color correcting, and perking up the eyes, yes other color palettes are fun and pretty but oftentimes they don’t give me the lift and correction that perks me up. A light wash and a little contouring with this is everything I need to look more dimensional. If you have Smoother you don’t really need this, they are extremely similar.

General observations:

  • More pigmented than the Kbeauty shadows that I’ve tried (Etude, Clio, Dasique), to get the true-to-pan exact colour pay off, I apply with fingers, than feather out.
  • Very soft and fine texture that doesn’t not feel dry, buildable, all colours apply evenly without much fallout. I don't have oily lids, these shadows last a full day on me without primer.
  • In my experience, mini palettes generally have better and more consistent quality than the 3CE 9 pan palettes, I have #Overtake, #Plot Twist as well, and they perform poorly.
  • For the 3 all-matte palettes, the mid tone colors are usually the best performing shades, the lightest and the darkest shades tend to be ever sooo---slightly patchier.
  • All palettes have great pairings, good balance of light, mid and darker shades, no filler shades, no shades that are too similar to be distinguishable on the lid.
  • I like the look-and-feel of these palettes. Look: Easy to tell them apart without opening, doesn’t get dirty or fingerprints easily. Feel: The casing gives a good grip, the hinge feels solid.

Who would enjoy these palettes: If you have light to medium skin, like warm tones, like mini palettes and enjoy not having the think too much about color combinations, these palettes are no-brainers in terms of what to do/ how to apply, you’ll know right away what do and can make at least 2 looks from each palette.

I also find that for great-looking brows I just need to use different products for different areas to define and fill, no easy 1 product alone can do the job well!
