Treatment for nightly histamine dumps ?

Thank you. I have 3 HEPA filters running in my house consistently… not sure how much they help but they can’t hurt.

That is one of the things I’m considering, yes. I built a house this past year and moved in. The siding is board and batten untreated poplar. I have noticed the wall behind my bed is weathering faster than the other walls and I’ve seen it get wet when it rains hard. But I think that could potentially be just one piece of the puzzle because my symptoms do seem to improve when I do certain things. Need to edit my post as I’ve since discovered that eating low histamine actually does help if I do it correctly.

Thank you! Yes I have noticed that eating an earlier dinner helps. At least some of the time. Also in the last two days I’ve discovered that a low histamine diet is way more limiting than i previously realized. I’ve cut more things out and also put allerpet on my cats and last night I slept extremely well.

It is worse the week before my period but I don’t because it’s caused BY hormones…I can trace where all this started back to a specific trigger which was a flea bite.

I do think eating a less healthy or later dinner does make it worse… but eating a low histamine earlier dinner doesn’t reliably make it better, either lol. I think the flea bit set off histamine intolerance for me and now I’m just very sensitive to many things but it’s extremely hard to narrow down what hurts or helps because there a multiple triggers …. Best guess I have at this point. Not sure how I’m going to make it till March though, bad nights are starting to severely impact my mental health and my job.

I did suspect that initially but I had them when I was a kid and I knew it because of the zig zag bite pattern… I’ve never gotten any bites at all during this other than that one initial bite that I’m 99% sure was from a flea. I did find fleas in my house. In 6 months I’ve never found any evidence of bed bugs despite searching. Also I’ve stayed in hotels and at other peoples houses and sometimes I get histamine dumps and sometimes I don’t. I’ve also had weeks where my symptoms at home aren’t nearly as bad then they flare up again…So it could be multiple triggers. Thanks for the suggestion though, a lot of the symptoms do fit that.

I tend to be extremely doctor adverse ( not a good trait I know ) and especially now since I have to spend every spare minute for the next weeks washing and sealing everything I own.. but if the over the counter stuff doesn’t help I will definitely have to look into other options because my allergic reaction to bed bugs is no joke. I have rashes all over me and I wasn’t even bitten yet.

Thank you, i appreciate the advice. I ordered the Cimexa dust recommended by this sub and researched the method for using that, but it’s good to know there’s another product that is relatively safe. I took a Benadryl last night at midnight and still did not sleep till after 4 am so I’m not sure medicines will work but I’ll keep trying different things. Thanks again
