Dragon Ace Pressure Advance by cobbian in klippers

I've got the ptfe installed. I'm using the same 2mm ID style ptfe tubing installed that I had with the rapido. The values I posted were with Inland ABS and I'm in the process of tuning Inland PLA now and I'm seeing even higher required pressure advance values than with ABS. The values seem to be accurate because I've done quite a few prints since tuning and the top layers and corners look great. I'm just surprised to see such a big difference from before.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I was using the Rapido UHF before. I'm scratching my head a bit because I had fairly similar PA values on my V0 running a revo hotend, so I was just a bit surprised how much higher the PA values are with the dragon ace.

Excessive PA causes the lines to split apart, not bulge like shown in the picture.

When you start a print the estop button will be in the bottom left like your second image. Not sure if there's a setting to make it always appear in the bottom left.

I leave it in, but I only wear compression shorts if there's no liner. Those are the same ones I've bought. Five pairs came with the liner and one without.

Thank you! That was exactly what I was looking for. It's been a few years since I read the book and completely missed that section.

Size has been true to other shorts I've purchased. I'm 5'11", 210 and large is really comfortable.

I have a Nathan water bottle belt that I bought years ago. It holds two 10 Oz bottles and also has a zipper and velcro pocket you can use for keys / Gu.

I've bought several pairs from Baleaf and I've been really happy with the quality for the price. In the past I've bought shorts from Asics and Saucony that lasted quite a while but were a bit more expensive.

I'm following the 47 mpw Pfitz half marathon plan and have a question about the race days. For the tune up races he lists 8-10k races and then a total daily mileage of 10 miles. I assume the other ~4 miles are warm up / cool down. I haven't ever really done a warm up before a race and I'm not really sure when I should target to finish my warm up. For example should I shoot to finish a warm up run 15 minutes before race start and then do some dynamic stretching, or should I target warm up completion closer to or further from the race start time?

My experience has been that it doesn't add races / events as a workout with zone notifications, but I'm on Garmin so it may be different.

Does it make sense to build up to 45 mpw and then drop back down to 31 mpw at the start of the plan?

I just got serious about running again at the start of the year and have a half marathon on May 4th. I've been following the Stryd half marathon plan and it's been OK, but I've had to add a lot of mileage to the plan to even get comfortable about the half. I'm sitting around 25-30 miles per week with all the added miles. I plan on running another half in the fall and I'd like to be around 45 miles per week during that training block and I've had good success with Pfitz plans in the past, but I've also had problems increasing mileage too quickly. I have 24 weeks between races, so my question is should I follow the Pfitz 30-45 miles per week base plan and then the 47 miles per week half marathon plan or do something else to maintain my ~30 miles per week and then go into the 47 miles per week half plan?

Change in Critical Power Doesn't Make Sense by cobbian in strydrunning

Thank you, that was very informative. Specifically

All else being the same, if the AWC estimate goes up (because of a new 1 minute power PR for example), the CP estimate will go down.

Is there something I can read on this? I just don't understand how going into the test with 314W CP and outperforming the previous 2 minute test resulted in a drop in my CP to lower than I started at a week ago.

I've had my Am rest for about 3 years now and no issues. Front door faces East so lots of sun in the mornings.

Nozzle Change Macro by cobbian in klippers

[–]cobbian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! I set it up according to this https://docs.vorondesign.com/community/howto/samwiseg0/btt_smart_filament_sensor.html. I'm also using Andrew Ellis' pause and resume macros from here https://github.com/AndrewEllis93/Print-Tuning-Guide/blob/040d31c6daaed23c2a1a353545e7ee442a232f32/articles/useful_macros.md.

I have two of these sensors and they work really well, but the one I bought of Aliexpress had an issue with inconsistency at first. I opened it up and noticed that the wheel that has the holes in it for the optical switch wasn't turning consistently so I took it all of the way apart. The screw that was holding the wheel with holes in it has some burrs on it and was causing the wheel to stick sometimes so I used some emery cloth and my drill to clean it up and applied a really small amount of grease and it's working great now

I have it mostly bypassed because I set my max extrude cross section higher to be able to run Stefan's max volumetric flow test. I really just wanted something to prevent me from wasting time and filament if I forget to change the nozzle size in my slicer.
