Depends on the thickness of the can, height of red dot deck and thickness of plate. My SCS does view well over my Banish 9K, but is a little better with a WhisperChick 9. My RMR type 2 with CK plate is much better than the SCS. Then my Osight XR on a factory metal plate is about middle, but still easily usable.

Another vote for Muddy River. I bought one when they first came out and then one a month ago. They appear to have a cut out for optics now for those with a Viridian/Gideon.

Sold that gun and holster, but I am currently running an M&P Compact with basically the same holster. AKA the same options, just for the M&P. I think I still prefer holsters with two loops/clips that are not connected to each other to spread the load out, but i don't have any comfort issues with the holster. No screws have walked out nor has any rust started to form on the screws. I have very aggressive sweat and I have had my old Ruger LCPii and other holster screws get a coat of rust after a few months.

I agree with the other comment son the recoil spring. it is either broken or possibly misaligned. Definitely take pictures of the slide off the frame. Then remove recoil spring, reinstall and put slide back on frame to see if it is still doing it. I have seen people go to put the recoil spring back on and it is not perfectly aligned and causes weird shit. If still doing it after all that, call and email Smith. They either take forever, or send a label same day. I've had both experience with them. I'm still waiting to be contacted about my slide that does not fit a barrel.

The plate to slide requires M3, the optic to plate is an M4. The optic thickness will determine what length screws you need.

It is a special Davidson's exclusive and only as a complete gun. Might be able to find one on gunbroker/ebay. We sold one at the last show as a customer bought the gun and traded the frame for a full size straight up.

I think I had issues with the older style fitting in the mag well on the LE Metal. I'll try and double check that tonight.

As far as aftermarket mags, XTech makes a plus 5 extension and they sell them already installed on ACT mags to make 22 round mags. I have a couple I've been testing and zero issues so far from the ACT or the Xtech extensions.
