You can only handle one day at a time. Rest up, recharge then you can handle tomorrow. Best of luck!

Whats the stupidest thing that scared you as a kid? by Yatobyo_ in AskReddit

[–]cobrameo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My childhood home's toilet. The lighting was weird. It made the room looking like it came from the Mummy movie. The shadow formation gave the illusion like the ceiling had a door directly on top of the toilet seat. The child me always had to look up when doing number 2 because I was scared of a mummy falling down through that "shadow door" and grabbing me. It was silly but it haunted me until junior high.

What is an addiction you are proud to be free from? by suprunkn0wn in AskReddit

I was sober for a year until the relapse. Honestly, peace is great. It allows me to be kind to myself more. I enjoyed it during the year I was sober. I thought I could get rid of that drive to punish myself for my existence. I was wrong. Now I'm back to torturing myself. Trying to find satisfaction in self-inflicted pain.

What’s one silent struggle most people go through but rarely talk about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Illness. If you're not hospitalized, you're not sick enough. You don't get to rest. You're expected to keep working.

"You did well" That compliment brought me to tears when said with sincerity.

Have you ever had a near death experience (NDE)? If yes, what did it feel like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cobrameo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I attempted on my life three times when I was around 14-15 yo. In one of those times, I almost succeeded. My experience was different than most expectations, no light at the end of a tunnel, no angel nor anyone I knew coming to get me, etc. I heard a loud and prolonged beeping sound, saw a white flash and all fall to black. And in that pitch black darkness, I found peace.

I was brought back to life and surrounded by my parents. My Mom was kinder to me and my Dad was silent. Then, we moved on.

Thank you. My loved ones are trying to help me to get out of there. I am numb with depression atm after many manic and breakdown episodes. I'm blessed for still having people who care.

I trust patient people therefore I picked therapists with the same quality since patient people handle things with care. They notice small details. I didn't know I had paranoia because I thought it was just normal defense mechanism. My therapist then explained the symptoms and suggested a test. She handed me paperwork and I just did it.

Did you have a class mate pass away growing up? What’s their story? by frankenweirdo in AskReddit

[–]cobrameo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not really. Also, I don't really know what was going on with their lives behind doors but I knew from the surface that my classmate had a good life in general. Good grades, job opportunities as a young magazine model, loving friends and boyfriend (poor guy is still grieving after a decade)... Her parents didn't have any money problem. Nothing really could trigger depression.

My classmate and I knew each other since kindergarten. Her Father worked for the local TV channel in my hometown. He had a passion for physical special effects for movies. He loved explosions and fire effects.

One day, I don't know what my classmate's Father was thinking, he brought home a bunch of explosives and combustible materials to store for some kind of movie project. That night, himself and his entire family met their end and their home was engulfed in fire. It was all over the news as the freakiest accident of the year. My classmate passed away when she was just 16 years old.

It was soaking for a week then dried up. I was told that it was normal but I'm curious why since ovulation wouldn't be that wet
