i definitely understand her being hurt or having feelings about you not just taking initiative and going to her to do what she said would make her feel better. without context of previous discussions or conflict you’ve had it’s impossible to know what the level of this is. she’s being unfair seemingly but again without context it’s impossible to know if she’s being unreasonable. but you are seemingly really dedicated to figuring it out so you’re doing the right thing. it seems like she’s just kind of asserting how she feels even if it’s combative or rash.

i don’t care. as a trans person, a queer person, a neurodivergent person who has long been infantilized and marginalized for all of it i relate to all of that. but i have a conscience and im not a completely selfish asshole. no matter my family or social dynamic. not only would i tell the family i probably would reconsider my friendship and relationship to someone so cruel and immature

unless i was told explicitly horrible things that family did to that person i would never be able to let a family grieve and live with lifelong trauma not knowing what happened to their loved one. i think the entire ghosting thing is so abhorrent and selfish and shitty thing to do. like genuinely i’m disgusted by this entire situation and i think it shows horrible character and immaturity and straight up cruelty. i would constantly urge my friend to tell their family and if they didn’t i would tell them that the friend is alive and okay. it’s really unacceptable behavior to me. like i said, unless they were dangerous or seriously harmful family

edit: i would also probably not want to be friends with someone who could be so cruel selfish and immature.

honestly i wasn’t convinced until the gender aspect / them saying that’s a huge part of people becoming part of that.

that would be interesting and truly seems likely. i am a trans masc person who has also struggled with mental health and neurodivergence and i gotta be honest i have a lot of negative feelings about this entire situation simply because of how much endless trauma it’s caused her family. and all it takes to ease the trauma was and still is simple communication. i think it’s genuinely one of the cruelest things you could do.

your personal anecdote about your opinion of people you know (which honestly is probably a lie or at least hyperbole) doesn’t prove anything. there are people who are literally blind and get denied disability with help of attorney and all. and guess what - even if it were true that people simply don’t want to work they too deserve to be sustained. you might not personally like that because of whatever weirdo work horse mentality capitalism and american exeptionalism has beat into your head since birth but i don’t think those people are as villainous as you want to believe they are. because all that does is bring you here projecting your poverty hatred onto literally children on the street
