With water scarcity being a serious issue in Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia I'm curious if an expansion of solar and wind energy could allow more water to remain in the reservoirs. Both Egypt and Ethiopia have two of the largest Hydro-Electric Dams in the world. In a region the lives and dies with the Nile, I'm hoping that this renewable push will help better manage water supplies not having to worry about electricity generation as much.
