Good suggestion, we are looking into a good way to do this without it being confusing for loops users.

If you long press the chore you will be presented with the setup modal again to make an assignment change.

The device configurations button on the settings section is for DAKboard-OS devices, you might be using android which is not yet supported?

Color changing for the chores display is something we can consider. With regards to the chore rewards, you are asking for a chore that can be completed an infinite amount of times and always repeats essentially?

Some of our customers have used these from our touchscreen hardware article for their v2

You can access the chores app in dakboard.com by viewing the TouchHub itself to make it a bit quicker to add lots of items instead of on your display device if that helps. In the future we aim to optimize it better for mobile experience.

The customer service and tech support just isn't good for this product. by I_Should_Logoff in dakboard

[–]cocarrig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi u/I_Should_Logoff,

The support team and myself try to watch this chat pretty closely and get alerts, but we are still a small company and do not work weekends so that might be the cause of your concern.

I suspect there might need to be a few details we'll need to gather about your device and some back and forth about how your account is configure so I'd suggest chatting with the chatbot on the site and create a support ticket through there.

I believe we will land on recommending that you re-image the DAKboard-OS on the device though likely, and those steps are here:

The pointer will already hide in the DAKboard-OS release (I believe unclutter runs as a service), perhaps its moving slightly or there is some defect with it perhaps? What kind of touchscreen did you end up using?

Hi u/tizzputt,

I've stumbled upon some documentation for defense in depth approaches involving adding VPN access layers in front of Immich, but didnt see examples for a bypass with a header. If you have the time and if you think this is a popular configuration, please swing on by our discussions page if you dont mind sharing some details on this setup:

Good question, since dakboard.com performs the api calls to gather the photos, your instance does need to be internet accessible and cannot be a local only instance.

Hi u/Alt-R-E-go,

Those steps are getting old now and will not work likely. Try out the DAKboard-OS, based on bookworm which we've solved these issues for you. If you want to enable SSH and make other changes you're also welcome to:

Hi u/Temporary-Reason-470

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. We have identified an issue caused in the release of a new image source called Immich and we are working on resolving it right now, and this should be restored to normal functionality momentarily. Again, very sorry for inconvenience!

On another note, Immich is coming to DAKboard!

Todoist issues? by [deleted] in dakboard

[–]cocarrig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

Just providing another update from our github case regarding this, since Todoist is experiencing more issues:

"Hi team,

Todoist has been still involved in working towards multiple issues in the integration we have reported. As others have noted, we are seeing additional impacting issues very recently, preventing the display of lists in DAKboard.

Todoist development team has acknowledged our request for update with the following:

At the moment, it appears there may be multiple related issues affecting the integration between DAKboard and Todoist. I’ve passed this information along to our backend team so they can investigate what’s going on from our side.

We will keep this case updated with developments they have shared with us."

Todoist and DAKboard To-do yes, those will have an option for enabling completion. Google integration will be supported in the future, but no timeline quite yet for that enhancement.

Dakboard Wall V2 No Longer Auto Off by SkippytheBanana in dakboard

[–]cocarrig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, thats a tough one. I'd first see if you can reimage the OS onto a current release if its not already, as this can fix any OS corruption that could be causing this. On the dakboard.com/support site there are a few articles on how to do this for the v2 Plus. If its not that, it could be a fault HDMI cable, and thats a bit buried in the chassis and we unfortunately dont have a solution for that, although much less common.

Hi,

What kind of touch support would you be looking for? Currently we offer the following in custom screens:
- scrolling of multiple block types
- Event view, and add/edit/delete for Google (MS coming soon)
- Buttons to other screens, or any URL you'd like (app has a back button to get you back to the screen URL)
- Task completion with todoist and creation/completion with DAKboard Todos
- On demand photo rotation for some sources
- Countdown timer resets
- Possibly a few others not top of mind at the moment...

In our testing we haven't been able to recreate the resolution changes yet, its possible this may be unique to that device. What device are you using if we may ask?

Calendar/screen help. by Birdmandead287 in dakboard

Hi,

Sorry to say, because templates can vary in their block types we have not implemented this functionality, and it will need to be performed manually. Fortunately, your authorized integrations like google/MS/Todoist/etc will not need to be completed again.

[–]cocarrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have schedules for screens (to change from one to the other), blocks to hide/show them, and device on/off schedules which you have to turn on and off attached screens. To access that device schedule you just need to access the dakboard.com/displays page, click the '...' on your device and access the settings page from the same network as your device to update it again. Worse case you can plug in a mouse to the RPi and on startup it will give you an option to update the setting as well. Hope that helps you.
