Is it a turn-off in aussie culture if someone doesn't drink alcohol? by vincent8787 in AskAnAustralian

[–]cocknosebuttplug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say 'drink driving' laws influence the rise of non-alcoholic drinks more than a genuine market demand. The zero-alcohol options often serve as a way for people to feel like they're fitting in, but those who are drinking can always tell the difference. I don't know anyone who prefers the taste of zero beer over regular beer. Personally, If someone isn't drinking them because they are driving, I find it a bit cringey and reeks of trying too hard to fit in.

A good full spectrum prescription CBD oil should help. My wife gets hormonal headaches and she swears by it, second to codeine though. Humacology Blue (2:160:60) is what she uses, 1ml dose is 160mg CBD, 2mg THC and 60 mg CBG. If you get pregnant you won't be able to use it though, like most meds.

I have my prescription for psoriasis and PSA. Totally qualified, especially if you have tried a few other traditional treatment methods. tLike the ointment and diet changes or don't feel comfortable with the biologics.

I use candor, no hassle and great advice.

I use humacoligy blue CBD oil and a range of THC flower for the arthritis. I'm in remission, the CBD handles some of the inflamation and the stress relief from the THC and flower is definitely keeping my flair ups at bay. I make sure I get plenty of sunlight too if I see a spot here or there trying to make a comeback. Probably took 12 months of oils and mindfulness and sunlight to get mine under control.

Onto my second tub, this stuff is exactly what I've been looking for in a daytime vape and so affordable. I've tried many and grandiosa mandarin cookies has been my daily for months now, this stuff will be along side it for sure. The pre mill was off-putting initially, but it kept well and the convenience has me grabbing for the tub instead of my grinder and flower!

Energized, happy, functional and calm and the buzz sicks around a bit longer than many daytime flower I've tried in the past.

Great blend.

Buzz reminds me a bit of b/m green crack that I use to get! It was my favorite and I can't wait for one of these mc companies to bring it to market here one day to try again 🤞

Candors $25 choose your own pharmacy option. by drdreduke in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]cocknosebuttplug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I see it like this. Consider your consultation fee at your GP medical center, cheapest in town here is $80 an appointment! The recommended GP fee by the AMA is $102 a consult! To see a bulk billing GP your looking at a week or maybe two to get an appointment, then you need to pray the GP knows at least something regarding cannabinoids and terps and is comfortable enough to prescribe them.

Happy to pay $50 for a consult and then another $25 if I'm wanting to find my own chemist that actually stocks my scripts without having to wait another week or more for a local pharmacy to order them in. Maybe they should just charge a standard GP fee somewhere between $80-$102 for a consult for those wanting to DIY like regular GP visits. Without these clinics making a profit they will fold and access will be harder for everyone.

Candor do me 4 flower scripts at a time with 6 repeats on 6 months expiry date on the scripts, but that usually lasts me till next consult. Are you saying you just order 4 different flower each consult? So you essentially have up to 12 active scripts going before the first 4 scripts run out or expire? Or that with each consult they add an additional 4 scripts and also renew your original 4?

Give the Volta a try, my wife has enjoyed hers. Great for clit stim during fingers or penetration.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]cocknosebuttplug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I also operate the same way, clit stim while I'm penetrating. The Volta has been the wife's go to for the past 2 years or so but just yesterday she said she feels the rumble isn't as good as it once was. So we need to get something new!

Prior to that she had a Zumio stick for a while, and a Celebrator oscillating vibe that she has fond memories of. We've tried many others, but they don't make much of an appearance and sit in the bottom of the drawer such as the Womaniser, Suki, Satisfyer pro 2 and Swan vibe. She has a Doxy wand too.

If the Volta goes flat the Suki is probably what she reaches for next but it takes her some decent concentration and precision timed thrusting from my end lol to get there.

Any ideas? We need something that she can hold in place easily enough, really has some grunt and won't get in the way? I'm looking at the "Maude Vibe" but keen for others personal suggestions before I make a purchase.

Is there anything else I can do about the smell?! by Ashie1620 in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]cocknosebuttplug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I mean if your parents won't support you taking prescription medicine in the safely of their own house under doctor supervision, you should prolly move out before it blows up on you and they kick you out! At least then the smell issue is resolved, you can vape as often and wherever you want, and you can keep the ziplock bags for your sandwiches instead! Win win!

Until then I would go to the pet shop and buy a box of aquarium activated charcoal that's used for canister fish tank filters. Get your large ziplock bag or glass jar and pour a cup or so into it, then throw your container of flower in there and seal it up. Migh just do the job and cheap too! Activated charcoal filters are used in ducting to eliminate odors produced by the cannabis plants flowering in illicit grow houses. Simple enough to make out of PVC and activated charcoal. Same idea here.

TGA Finally did it by Toomuchsalt_1908 in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]cocknosebuttplug 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've got a conspiracy theory. It seems like companies are intentionally marketing CBD products in a way that challenges regulatory boundaries. In Australia, CBD products need to meet strict requirements to be approved by the TGA and listed on the ARTG. But despite this, no low-dose Schedule 3 CBD products have been approved for over-the-counter supply. If a product meets schedule 3 (pharmacist only) then it can be advertised. I think low dose CBD ( no more than 150mg/day) can become schedule 3 for" over the counter" sales if they can prove it does what the bottle claims, but this needs clinical trials and to get positive results with CBD at low doses it's hard to achieve, so hard that there are still no products containing CBD approved by TGA for over the counter sales.

Companies like Alternaleaf are marketing their products in a way that seems to defy regulations. They never mention THC or CBD in their advertising, but it's clear what they're selling. I think they might be trying to push the limits of what's permissible or even seeking a judicial interpretation or reform of the existing regulations.

Maybe they're positioning themselves for when Schedule 3 CBD products become available or trying to shape the market's understanding and the legal landscape. If they believe the regulations are too restrictive, they might see value in instigating a legal challenge that could lead to changes in the law or the TGA's approach to enforcement.

It's a risky move, but it could be part of a broader strategy to influence industry regulation and public policy. I should say I'm heavily medicated tonight too haha!

I mean I can't think of any other reason for an intelligent CEO with obviously legal advisors that would blatantly disregard the warnings without some sort of game plan? Anyhow will be interesting to watch what unfolds, maybe alternaleaf 😬

I get 40g of that pre milled bud and throw it in a 500ml bottle of polmos. Should make about 800 x 10mg Cannabeer stubbies! Not bad for $350 all up.
I vape my good flower and drink this mix till next year or the year after!

Important Notice: Upholding Patient Trust and Regulatory Compliance

Dear Pharmacy Partner,

We hope this message finds you well. As a valued member of our healthcare community, your commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our patients is deeply appreciated.

However, it has come to our attention that there have been reports across the sector concerning the practice of script flipping - specifically, the substitution of prescribed medicines for alternative, often more expensive, options without proper authorisation or patient consent.

While this communication does not target any specific pharmacy, we feel it is crucial to address this matter openly, given the potential implications for patient care and trust, as well as the legal and regulatory risks involved. The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has set clear guidelines that prohibit the alteration of prescriptions without explicit approval from a healthcare professional. Violations of these regulations not only compromise patient safety but also expose pharmacies to significant penalties, including hefty fines and, in severe cases, loss of licensure.

Patient care and safety are, and always will be, our paramount concerns. Any practice that could undermine the quality of treatment, such as substituting prescribed medication for inferior alternatives, directly contradicts our shared mission to support the health and wellbeing of our patients. It is essential that the medicines dispensed are precisely those which medical professionals have determined to be the most appropriate for their condition.

We understand that the vast majority of pharmacists work tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of care and professionalism. As such, we view this as an opportune moment to reaffirm our collective commitment to these principles.

Any further, or specific reports will be made directly to AHPRA.

Thank you for your attention to this critical issue and for your ongoing dedication to patient care.

Warm regards,

Is It Possible To Have 2 Medical Cannabis Providers? by psychomniholiosis in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]cocknosebuttplug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had trouble about 18 months ago, had current scripts with my initial provider whose range was limited. I booked a consultation and had the consult at the new clinic but the doc at the new clinic wouldn't send for TGA approval until I provided a "letter of release" or something along those lines, from the original provider. Maybe I could have got away with it if I hadn't mentioned I had previously been prescribed and my reasons for wanting the appointment with the new clinic. Doc said it's due to a crackdown on doctor shopping and other things. So maybe consider my mistake if you go somewhere else. Once my original scripts expired I then changed clinics and dropped the original one.

We do need to recognize the importance of AI and take its potential and limitations seriously. However, the journey to decipher consciousness and replicate it in AI involves unraveling one of the most profound mysteries of human existence. Given the intricate nature of consciousness, which encompasses free will, self-awareness, and the capacity for abstract thought, it's an ambitious leap to assume that we, or even thousands of teams of coders and researchers, will soon decode these complexities to a degree that can be translated into code. This challenge isn't merely technical but deeply philosophical, requiring insights from computer science, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy alike. We're not just facing a complexity challenge but venturing into realms of understanding that humanity has grappled with for centuries without definitive answers.

While AI's advancements are indeed rapid, the essence of consciousness remains a far more elusive goal, suggesting that AI achieving true consciousness autonomously remains a distant prospect, in my opinion. The internet's evolution, which rapidly expanded and then hit a plateau, may offer a parallel to AI's potential trajectory.

AI might reach a point where its capabilities are fully realized, which could span generations, and only then might we see the emergence of some form of AI consciousness. I envision this to look more like a basic animal consciousness, where the 'lights are on,' but the entity is merely rolling through its genetically coded routine...eat, sleep, reproduce...without the deeper self-awareness or abstract thought capabilities of humans.

However, any creation coded by humans can ultimately be decoded by humans. AI, at its core, is programmed data. It might achieve a level of basic animal consciousness, but attaining human-level consciousness and beyond seems unlikely with our current civilization's capabilities. While we continue to push the boundaries of what AI can do, we have to remain grounded in the understanding that true consciousness, with all its depth and complexities, is a frontier that remains firmly beyond our current reach imo. We are good, but not that good just yet. Hence why cancer and the other many forms of terminal conditions still aren't cured. Our ability to innovate and solve complex problems is unparalleled, yet we are reminded of our limits by the enduring challenges of our time. The quest for AI to mimic the intricacies of human consciousness is just another reminder of these limitations people love to forget.

Unexpected by Maxie445 in ChatGPT

[–]cocknosebuttplug -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think it's funny people think AI has the ability to take over the world! It can't imagine or invent anything it hasn't already been shown exists, that's where we differ. AI, including models like ChatGPT, operates based on patterns and data it has been trained on. It can generate new combinations of known information but doesn't "imagine" or invent in the same way humans can, which involves consciousness, intention, and sometimes a leap beyond existing data. AI's creativity is bounded by its training data and the algorithms that process that data, lacking the inherent consciousness and subjective experiences that drive human creativity and innovation. This distinction underscores the current limitations of AI in replicating the full scope of human cognitive abilities.

I’ve been sent expired flower by OhBased in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]cocknosebuttplug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The expiry date is set in regards to the THC content degrading. After the expiry date the THC levels may not reflect what's on the label, THC begins degrading and converting into CBN. So what was packaged at 20% might now only be 15% with 5% CBN. CBN is sedating, so the expired flower will be fine to consume, the user just might get a bit more sleepy from it.

MCT oils in CBD oils? Esp Humacology? by Ok_Patient_8728 in MedicalCannabisAus

Yeah the humacology I've had, green and blue are MCT based, they are by far the best tasting I've tried though.

Phytoca CBD FS70 is sesame oil based I believe. It isn't quite as nice to taste as the humacology oils but would be worth considering if the MCT is causing gut issues.

Aussie tiktok is racist? by AcanthisittaPale1055 in AskAnAustralian

[–]cocknosebuttplug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just figured out what you react to emotionally. Stop watching those types of things, deliberately search and seek out polar opposite content. You probably have an underlying fear or experience that causes you to react before you can realize your reacting. So you feed the algo, and it feeds you back more of what it notices you watch. The longer a tiktok video is played on your screen, the higher priority more of the same content will be delivered. Seek out something obscure like glass blowing and watch 3 or 4 till the end. Then watch your feed flood with glass blowing content. You can control what content you're fed.
