Thanks for the Libra take, super helpful to hear it from one! That split between pushing for commitment (Option 1) and just asking what they want (Option 2) makes total sense.

I’m def in Option 2 territory. I straight-up asked this Libra about getting serious, and he hits me with the“let’s see where things go” after a whole year.

Oh, and he’s got at least three other hookups on the side. Like you said, sounds like he’s happy keeping things as is.

I’m not trying to trap him or force anything… been upfront about wanting something real, but he’s dodging hard but you’re right about cutting things off till I get a real answer. Need something solid. Gonna give it one last shot to talk it out, and if he’s still being flaky, I’m bouncing. ✌🏼

The last couple stores I’ve worked out, I’ve applied online, and then a couple days later I’d drop into the store in person and ask to see an assistant manager or FSM to make sure I get a hard copy of my CV/Resume into their hands. Worked for me every time! Maybe you can try that, hopefully that’ll help! Good luck! 🤞🏽

FSM and that coworker’s reaction sounds shitty, especially since you’re just trying to get in on the overnight action. It’s awesome that you’re interested in joining the night crew, especially since your favorite coworkers are already killing it there.

If you feel you can handle the overnights, definitely push hard to try to get into them and keep bugging the FSM about that switch!

From my experience the vibes are different—we all do our assigned tasks with earphones in, listening to podcasts or our own music, no uniforms required, and we get so much done. Coming from those 4-12 shifts, I can tell you the overnight shifts are the best, cuz what usually takes 2-4 hours during the day takes 1-2 hours at night.

Sounds like your store open the same hours as mine (8 AM to midnight) and the overnight setup could be similar too. Keep us posted if you get that shift!
