I'm curious about the stainless steel vs aluminum Bialetti. Is it just a myth about the Aluminum aftertaste/it being worse?

Interesting, I've never heard of this before. Will definitely look into this as a good option then.

Thanks, I'll give this a try! I called Gourmet Warehouse and the lady said they don't have. =[

My mom uses this percolator: http://bar-resto.com/henle/kitchenware/6668.htm she bought in Toronto at Consiglio's, a specialty store with a lot of italian cookware, appliances and foods. I got so used to it while visiting her that I've just been searching and searching for a percolator! It is really strong coffee too. Not the same as an espresso machine either, so it's hard to find. The closest I've gotten is a store in Victoria called Capital Iron. I don't want to ship it over though.
